Where are the old members of Eroid?

ad

I really like to read the opinions and the way of thinking that often happens to read in the various posts published.
The forum is really very large. Hundreds of pages that talk about culture and love for this sport accompanied by the chemistry and health of those who undergo this lifestyle. I spend whole nights going around the pages and then you find yourself in who knows what other topic. Thousands of information, many useful tips to look for and share with your friends (even real). A lot of bullshit and arguments that make this community so unique and attractive.

That's what I like about Eroid.

After almost a year from my recording something caught my attention.
I notice a big difference in opinions and ways of thinking.
The most popular topics belong to members registered many years ago and most of them have disappeared, others have been banned (they declared the hiring of Tren) or even arrested.

Reading them, I could feel the passion and anger of the writer. A lot of information, very detailed and well structured. So many personalities who clashed and raged against each other.

Today we read a lot of bullshit, certainly useful but you have to dig well. I see many topics started just to gain popularity or because the gears are so many and then it is easy to find an idea to write and be seen active on the site. Many topics (but also answers) stolen on Google.

Maybe the old members of Eroid who are among us today can perceive this change.
Great members like Rusty and Pale that I read everywhere, even Greg himself, an eight-year-old veteran.

I wish I could figure out what really happened to the old school of thought. The past was written from experience. Experience means having lived it on your own skin or at least having shared it with your best friend.
I spend most of my time here on Eroid in old posts published several years ago. Personally, it is the old members who keep me awake, sometimes, all night long.

Over 7 years here! I remember most of the originals as well. Most people have moved on I suppose, but it's so nostalgic sometimes looking through old posts and relating it to the point in life I was at. I also remember all of the old sources that either got busted or bailed.

or, maybe even 6.

Bulkdaddy's picture

To be more exact yes you’re correct. I just saw it on my profile. ;) . Thank you for correct me because I was off by 1. (Sarcasm)

You mean your attempt at "stolen valor"?

Many a 7 year eroid veteran put their blood, sweat, and yes, I'll say it, their very lives into this site.

Nay sir, it is not a trifling matter.

Those years, like the center most rings of the oak have born the hardest times and survived the fiercest storms. They are priceless where karma is fleeting. They who are the fabric of those rings are our founding fathers.

No, Sir, I reject your sarcasm on this topic that is so hallowed you should be impulsed to kneel upon bended knee.

Slowly's picture

This is another thing that makes me curious, Greg.
How this oak was born and who stood there watering every day.
But maybe it's information that will remain secret forever in the dungeons of Eroid, or maybe even we don't really know the truth. There was a lot of confusion because the information was scarce.
I was reflecting!

Bulkdaddy's picture

Stolen Valor? I reject that comment. ;) I’m a retired disabled Army Veteran. So by no means am I trying to steal yours or anyone’s Valor from eroids. Trust me buddy. Lmfao! (Forced sarcasm with knife hand)

There are still good forums being put up. There was always shit (I browsed this forum for like 2 years before joining). It’s just that you see a lot of good forums from back then because that’s what stands the test of time and rises to the top. But trust me there was always shit posts. At least in the 6 years I’ve been reading on this site.

I think the original guys layed the groundwork, and there are certainly some legends. but the changes in opinions mostly went the way of safety. We preach more safety and more responsible use now.

I agree some people just parrot shit, but just like back then you have to sift thru the shit. It’s nothing new. And I agree that you shouldn’t give advice on things you don’t have real experience with (compounds specifically), which is why you’ll never see me giving advice on tren or Deca, unless it’s not to use it lol.

I think you’re just seeing only old posts that are quality because those are the ones that show thru time.

We did used to have more diet experts now. I’ve sent people to the diet help forums and they’ve gotten no reply, that’s a bummer. Maybe someone can step up that’s well suited.

Ps. I think cdaddy was another good one. It’s harder to search for him cuz he was banned but he had some quality input.
Eg.

I couldn't find 7gothic anymore.
Great character. I read his first topic in the forum and his irony is impressive. I've seen many interesting titles that I'll read tonight.
Thank you for reminding me. The stories seem real, in the sense that the writer has really lived them.
That's exactly what's missing today.

kodiakGRRL's picture

He's here... I can even get him to post if you'd like ;-)

Slowly's picture

I'm always happy to read solid topics.
I was reading MrS Viking but it hasn't connected since 2015.

Most people come here now for social bullshit...no one likes being told they are wrong anymore. They just want someone to co-sign their shit and move on

shiva4's picture

I would have to say I've seen the social component become more prominent to this "lifestyle" or in the gym specifically.

I couldn't agree more with you comment about people not like to be told they are wrong. I try not to make generalizations but I do have to say in the american culture, many people tend to not tolerate being told they are wrong very well. Being wrong makes it evident you "dont know everything." What is lost from sight is that being an opportunity to learn or improve something.

Slowly's picture

The downside is that it then becomes a way of life for the group. A real shame for the new generations.
You too belong to the group of veterans. Thank you for stopping by.

Slowly's picture

Big names Rusty.
Vikings reads it a lot. 36 years of gearing, a true lunatic. Great character.
Then there's Mrs Viking, a great athlete.
I missed Tread and Trenabolic.
Sgtstedanko is another madman. I had read a great topical of him but I can't find him anymore.
Too bad that many of them are no longer active.

kodiakGRRL's picture

there were a LOT of pretty knowledgeable guys and grrls here some years ago .. as is the norm people move on and or life takes them in other directions ... new people come in and the direction of things changes ... times change, priorities change. there used to be several women here at one time who either don't post anymore or have moved on for various reasons. such is the way of life. I was not here at the very start but I've been here longer than most

Slowly's picture

I've seen a lot of women with a very professional physical level.
Nowadays it seems that they have disappeared.
Currently I don't see any active female profiles on the site.

Greg's picture

Currently I don't see any active female profiles on the site.

Seriously? Not a one?

Slowly's picture

Pale doesn't seem to remind me of any.
I may have gotten into some female profile but maybe they're not as active as most of us.

Greg's picture

Just curious who you were addressing your comment to?

Slowly's picture

I misspelled the name. It is the answer to your comment. Sorry

Greg's picture

SMH... you said, "Currently I don't see any active female profiles on the site." in a direct response to kodiakGRRL.

I'm just curious, before she kicks your ass, what you considered her to be.

kodiakGRRL's picture

LOL the Velvet Hammer was passed on but I ll take it back and resume of course should there be need ;-)

Only now I've seen his profile ( usually I never trust avatars ). Besides being a female member she is also a source.
I really didn't know. Usually I'm always careful lol. Thanks Greg.
At this point I say that she is the only woman active on the site.
Respect

I realize english is not your native language but I do appreciate being referred to as HER

Thank you Madam -)

Well said. Maybe one of us should make a Club or sticky to honor our Lost friends...
Not that the guy was big or super knowledgeable but I miss bsing with Twisted Sister.
You pm with these guys and they disappear.
There’s some good people on eroids.
I like the experience of talking with folks from other countries as well.
Some of its bodybuilding, some of its not.

Owes a Review × 1
Slowly's picture

That's what I was trying to do. I like to share opinions with members from other countries. It was not possible because there is too much envy and competition. They only come looking for you when they need you, which is why many of them have flown off my friend list.

kodiakGRRL's picture

Thanks Sam ... some of us have been through a few name changes and a few new accounts lol. I bet a list like that would be pretty interesting but the connections we make those are life changing in some ways as odd as it may seem you get to know people as they move in and out of your life most of the add to it in some way
