Getting your calories at work question
ad
Alright. For all you guys and gals out there who are eating s ton of food every day (basically most of us).
Have you ever had an employer have a problem with your eating habits? Ie, getting up from your desk for 2 minutes to eat a protien bar, microwaving a meal, or even just sit at your desk with a handfulnof peanuts?
My question is how everyones employers react to this and how you overcome these rediculous restrictions in order to get your nutrients in.
My employer like basically told me that i cant eat at work, unless im on my lunch break. Well. We all know how many mes or snacks in a day is required. But yet, they have no problem with me sitting at my desk and playing on my phone...

bgukxllsI'll have one meal at work about 1200-1500 calories and then i consume about 3000 calories the rest of the day.. usually around 1000 calories for breakfast, 2000 calories in the evening up till 10 pm
For all those wondering how rediculous this is. I was just terminated for "taking too many breaks" (they counted a protien bar or shake as a "lunch break")
..... i have no words.
Noo. Sorry brother. They were just looking for a reason.
Yeah pretty much. Dude. I hate that. I dunno if anyone else has ever experienced it, but like where youre great at your job, but intimidate people because they think youll take their job or whatever?
Me.
Had it happen to me also. But it made me stronger and made me a business owner. You’ll be fine, Hurtles aren’t the end of the road.
Word to that man. I think im going to take a few weeks off mentally and just not work. Haha. I got savings, and ill be able to find something that i really want to do.
You were probably too swole for him, he was hating on the gainz and trying to make you smaller by not letting you eat. Haters gonna hate. Hope you can find a new better gig soon.
Holy crap man, sorry for that. Hopefully you can find a less crazy boss at the next place
I regularly do 16 hour shifts with 0 breaks. They got nothing to say when i stand up and heat up my food lol
I worked corporate for years. Always ate at my desk, and they never said a thing. Sorry their being ass holes. Maybe down a pre blended shake when going to restroom might work.
Ah! Now this is a feasable idea.
they havent said shit about my gallon jug of water yet. Haha.
See thats what im saying, like i understand that i deal with the public and i cant be eating at my desk when they come in, but its nothing i couldnt just swallow and hide in my deak drawer if someone walks in, you know... plus, we have a break room.
They are basically saying its not "fair" because the other workers dont take as many breaks as i do. (Now im thinking, why does it matter? They choose to be unhealthy...)
I genuinely spend most of my day sitting and waiting for people to come in or the phone to ring. Probably a good 4 hours today was spent doing literally nothing except play on my phone and work on the computer.
Oh also, i was reading a nutrition book that my program sent me for school, and hes like... um... no. (??!?!?!????)
Whatever happened to a happy employee is the best employee. Sounds like at every job there is some boss duschbag micro managing..
PcushionWhat a fucking tool.
Damn bro, that's fkd up! No eating at work. I'm a trailer mechanic so I'm busting my ass all day burning the hell out of some calories so my boss doesn't care if I stop for a few minutes to eat a couple tuna pouches and fruit. Tou have a tough situation there. Could you eat a protein bar or drink a protein and carb shake at your desk? If so that's easy enough. Do you only get one break @ lunch or do you get 2 15 minutes and a lunch? I think it would be easy enough to stash you some protein bars in your desk and if you do get 2 15's and a lunch, plan your better meals around that. There are a lot of variables in play but you can figure something out.
Its crazy bro, your boss sounds like an ass. Hell my boss and coworkers find it amusing how much I eat. They find a way to turn it into a joke when they can.
Hes not even an ass. He just doesnt have the best backbone. Nice guy, super hands off management which i love. Like... people will scream at the sales agents, but management will literally always give them money off (big time) or back the customer instead of their team...
Can you drink at your desk? Would just keeping protein powder at your desk help at all?
What a douche. Never had an employer not let me eat.
The only feasible option here is to go full fight club mode on this guy and afterwards make your demand that he supplies you with protein rich foods while you’re at work.
On another note who the hell tells someone they can’t eat, isn’t that against the Geneva convention? Sounds like there is an underlining issue here that your boss has against you. I say handle it like a man and run a shit ton of test and tren hex with no ai and I promise you it’ll sort itself out in no time.
Hahaha oh that made me laugh too hard! Im sure itll sort itself out with me being in jail for beating someone. Haha
Dude right! And it happens at almost every single job ive had. Its like... ill drink protien shakes at my desk, hes fine with that. But oh snap the second i get up to go to the breakroom to eat a protein bar for ONE minute, he says im "taking multiple lunch breaks".
Im about ready to ask to see the policy in writint where it states i cannot live a healthy lifestyle or eat food or snack on the clock. But like, hes got no problem with my co worker watching hulu and netflix at her desk...
