Levopraid (medicine who raise prolactin)
ad
Hi guys, due to my IBS doc said to follow the FOODMAP diet and he prescribed me probiotics and Levopraid, reading the side effects of this med i've discovered it raises the prolactin's level, and can cause gyno... you know i've never cycled and i really don't want to get gyno from this. I've tried to squeeze my nipple and from both came out a transparent liquid, i don't know if it's normal and i'm just paranoid or this is a bad sign, obviously i'll get in touch with my doc ASAP, meanwhile i'd like to know your opinion about this, thank you.

Guys have said it all below and yes in your case given the severity perhaps the prescription is warranted. These types of antipsychotics are renowned for radically raising prolactin levels. There is an option of trying an atypical antipsychotic like quetiapine first to see if that helps before applying the sledgehammer. Now atypical antipsychotics like quetiapine can also raise prolactin levels but not usually to the same extent.
Blood work is now needed to see just how much estrogen and prolactin you have floating around and some management will be needed in order to get these levels under control in order to resolve the current issue of lactation/gyno that is presenting. You doctor should refer you to an endocrinologist to get this sorted and they should work together to get your meds dialled in and side effects managed.
Look... there is a silver lining here. You could embark on a new career. 0$down. All upside...
Become a Wet Nurse.
All the c section/too posh to push chicks would pay handsomely for a strong-armed wet nurse. You could double up as a handyman and build their flatpacks for cash too.
Jus sayinnnnnn
I like your way to see good things in bad news bro, at least i'll be ready to be in fight club 2 as the new Bob.
High prolactin=high estrogen
Levopraid precautions Caution should be exercised in patients with history of neuroendocrine tumor, epilepsy, manic states, abnormally-high levels of prolactin in the blood, painful, lumpy breasts, heart disease, any allergy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking Levopraid More: https://www.wdrugs.com/?s=levopraid

Get a different doctor......this medication maybe needed in server cases....(as in can't leave the house) but this is like going from o-1000 in 1 second.
And no pre bloods biopsy or scans???
I suffer of IBS since high school, never had an improvement only get it worse and worse, after some tests and trying a new diet he prescribed me 15 drops 2x day for 3 months, i don't feel comfortable with this having so much sides effect, but i have to admit my situation wasn't (and it isn't) an easy one.
Doc gave you medicine that raises prolactin level and never asked you to do the blood work before and throughout???
That’s a weird doc in my eyes. Go and do bloods yourself. Check your Test levels too as I’m pretty sure your meds will have an effect on it too as it raises prolactin level and that puts all hormones in imbalance
A lot of doctors don't know the side effects that medications have , they'll usually just prescribe something and that's that .
Think I have been lucky so far with my doc cos this is just so wrong.
Was always wondering how do you do copy paste on that yellow background or is that for advanced users only??

Thank you Greg, this is very handy sometimes. Was always wondering how do people do this lol
You use the > symbol and put whatever text you want directly after.
Thank you @Impastable, thought that’s only advanced user privileges
By the way way Congratulations with hitting 1K and thank you for being around !!!
Thank you!
It’s whatever gets them a bigger check for the prescription from the last pharmaceutical rep that walked through their doors.
There's all kinds of wrong with this
