I could do with a laugh. Title is self explanatory, purely for shits and giggles. I've heard/read some terrible cases of broscience over my few years of researching. The funniest would have to be a chap that said "eat plenty of bananas, you never see a gorilla with a small chest do you!".

Well, a few years ago I wanted my teenage nephew to start working out with his super cool uncle. My over-protective sister wouldn't have it. She said that he won't develop correctly and stay small. That year he joined high school football and his coach told my sister that he really needs to lift weights to play well and avoid injury. Well long story short, all this started with a small skinny teenager, and now he's 19, 6 feet, and weighs over 200lbs! And just became a firefighter recently. I wonder if he would of never started training, poor guy. Maybe 8 feet tall 600lb beast. But I helped shrink him down to a mere human.

In keeping with the topic though, closest bs that comes to mind was when I first started training; This trainer was telling me. "OK dude, all you gotta do is eat chicken and rice. Then do bench, back, and squats. do it ten times, then up the weight 10 more pounds the next week, and do it again. Do that, and you'll be a body builder" Oh I tried it, and quickly found out how why he didn't work there anymore lmao
AnonGood genes, at 19 I was a 6' tall 160lb marine on double rations. It took me too 35 to put on another 100lbs.
Yeah great genes. Its funny how they work. He was a little skinny kid up until late teens. Blew the f up! I, on the other hand, was 125lbs till I hit the gym. A few years later I managed to gain up to 200lbs. And somewhat maintained there ever since. 12 years later and I dont even remember being that peewee back then.

The dude that recommended my first cycle at age 23 when I weighted around 140lbs:
500mg test enantathe + 400 mg deca a week + 40mg dianabol a day. Run all for 10 weeks. No PCT “because your balls are young”. No diet needed becase “deca is magic”.
I got stronger but didnt grow shit. And that shit shut me down totally. I was young living with parents too scared to say what i did i never said anything nor seek any medical advice.
Lost more muscle i had when i started the cycle. No libido low mood for 6 months to a year.
I recovered fine in the end thanks but after nearly a year with HPTA shut down, my confidende in the gym gone i stop training and i end up way worse than before the cycle

I have heard the same thing said so many times about working out in general as well. It's amazing some of the shit people believe.

I had some 25 year old at the gym telling me that all he uses is cyp and prop and he does not like sustanon because it has deca in it and he doesn't like deca.
I was going to try to explain to him that decanoate is an ester not a compound, but then he took his shirt of and his body had so much acne, his pimples had pimples. He says: "Oh that? Must be a pretty common misconception about Decanoate. A guy here says the same thing about Sust. But then, he calls Testosterone - Tosterone. Thinks esters are the carrier oil and reckons that he can tell if 'Tosterone' is legitimate by tasting it. Recently he was drinking his shots and reckoned they worked.This guy claims to have used gear for 25 years - his ignorance is astounding and it hurts just talking to him.

I was in the locker room at my gym a few months ago packing a big wad of chewing tobacco in my lip when a much younger guy looked at me and said "Is it true that stuff makes you stronger when you lift??" I decided not to fuck with him and tell him that it keeps me from going into nicotine withdrawal and he should not try unless he wanted to projectile vomit all over the floor.

There I was, powering through my last set of cable flys on a Friday and I couldnt help over hear these 2 lads talking. Neither one was a day over 21.. one of the lads was saying he's kick starting a T3 blast (yes a T3 BLAST, what the hell) with test e and deca! Apparently this lad is hitting test and deca for 4 weeks while the T3 kicks in. You can't make shit like that up.

I know what you're saying bro . Infact I'm not saying your original post is wrong is any way. Diet is needed.. I'm just saying as long as you meet the calories and macros needed you will still grow perfectly fine
To put it simple
Say you eat a fast food meal from McDonald's 50g protein 75 carbs 15f
Then you make a meal from "lean meats and complex carbs" same macros. You will see exact same results .
I've tried the strict dieting it BURNS you out fast bro . Very fast. I simply meet macros daily and it's been phenomenal in terms of results
TTI don't post pics anymore but I guarantee you I have built up a pretty respectable physique in the last 2 years.
If you don't think macro dieting works that's fine. Enjoy your fish and rice day in day out . I will enjoy flexible dieting and still see great results

I have a very diverse, well balanced diet that satisfies. I don't need the frozen pizza, processed foods, McDonald's, and snickers bar. Don't miss it either.
TTWhile you don't need or want those foods most people are not like that. They diet strictly and then fall off and binge eat. I incorporate one meal I enjoy daily that's it. keeps me from binging . you're welcome to diet however you'd like . I've tried the super clean diets I just burn out way too quick . Find what works for you

Lmao!! Finally somebody that gets it. I told my girlfriend recently that I can't go out and get McDonald's or eat cookies for a cheat meal anymore, because I will relapse and binge the rest of the day/next few days and ruin progress.
Told her I was a food addict (serious) and I treat junk food like drugs -- there's no such thing as just one cheat meal, similar as a recovering meth addict saying he'll just take one more hit.
Now days my idea of a cheat meal is having simple carbs (like mashed potatoes as opposed to brown rice or wheat pasta) alongside my meat, or an extra bowl of cereal in the late evenings.

I actually thought maybe there was more useful knowledge in here instead of everyone just cutting up....BUT!!!!...all the bullshit about all the excessive protein intake or you won't grow, you won't make gains... all your hard earned muscle will shrink away while on cycle if you aren't sucking down 2+grams of protein per pound of bodyweight.
Biggest farce EVER...where is the study, the research, the evidence that says all that crazy intake of protein is what you need. Someone show me cuz I haven't found it.

Yea that's a legit article and the only real proof I have seen before. I looked at it once and that's why I brought this up in here.
I know me personally...I weigh 225ish...and I take in anywhere from 160-240g/day depending on my personal hunger that day and my activity/training level. I have tried doing all the high amounts of protein before and I feel I made the same amount of progress. Listen to the body and look in the mirror and if you aren't making gains, its probably cuz your training sucks lol
