Steroid shelf life?

How long is a vial of steroids good for, if never opened? Does it depend on the compound or is there a general life span?

My w*****n has an expiration date of 5 years. As long as it was stored properly, no temp changes, and no discoloration of the oil after that long.
Just to be clear, that is real pharma grade. Purchased at a brick and mortar pharmacy with a prescription.
Not black market pharma (they washed out the bathtub) grade that is bought online without a prescription.

On top of what the lads mention below, quality of the preservative and also the oil is v important
If you want to know Gold standard have a look at one of the pharmaceutical companies exp date compared to its manufac date, for a rough approximation. Work backwards for UGL, sure who knows what we are getting?!!!
Best stick with a busy lab who use preservatives and still, dont hoard
Depends on the lab procedures, oxygen, light and heat are your enemies. Quality of the rubber stopper would play into it also.
Being a gear hoarder doesn't pay, .......... unless you enjoy expire gear.
Quality of the rubber stoppers is correct!
Just had to bin 2 vials of test prop (unopened) as the rubber stopper was melting inside the vial. Looked like black streaks of ink at first glance
RustyhookerTight crimps definitely help. 2 years is a guess if all thats been mentioned is met. Year or less is better.
Lots of variables here. There's a magnifying glass up top that would have answered this, I know it's not shaped like a spoon but it's close...

backonroidsIf never opened and stored as suggested they can last year's. All come with pretty good exp dates anyway so wouldn't be much need using exp gear but I know guys that have used it gear that's been expired a year with no issues .
There's plenty of post on here about this topic use the magnifine glass , it's the best tool on this site
