+ 5 How to Get Bloodwork Done if You Live in (NY, NJ, RI, MA, MD)

ad

I am going to share with you how i get my blood-work done even though i am a resident of Massachusetts. I have used this method for both LabsMD.com and privatemdlabs.com and have a 100% success rate.

Step 1) Go to the website and select what Blood Test(s) you want to get done, then go to checkout.

Step 2) Select a bordering state that allows private lab testing (I go with NH) and pick a lab location.

Step 3) Fill out the billing/patient information, when filling this out I use my real name although i think you can use a fake name if you would like. I put a fake address lets say 12345 RoidRage street Salem, NH. Now you need to use the zip code that matches your credit/debit card information or it will not let the order go through. So again, you will be using a fake address with your actual zip code.

Step 4) After you print out the needed paperwork drive to the location you chose in Step 2. You can call ahead and make an appointment or just walk in.

Step 5) Give the person at the front desk your paperwork, If they ask for an I.D tell them you left it at home or come up with some bullshit story. If they see you are from (NY, NJ, RI, MA, MD) they might deny you. When i tell them i lost my I.D they have never questioned me or asked for any other identification, they just say "that is ok" then i go get my bloods done and wait for the results.

This is how I do it, i am sure there are a bunch of other ways. Feel free to share with us your way of getting blood work done as a resident of (NY, NJ, RI, MA, MD)

Why is it illegal in the first place? I mean how can this possibly be viewed as somethjng negative or harmful? I hate living in the northeast because of the damn restriction.

Why can't I get tested in Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island or Massachusetts?

Laws in these states require that any lab work be ordered by your personal physician; a copy of this order must be presented at the laboratory.

So it's about the Benjamin's. Dr's protecting their dollars.

That is a great question. When i have the time i am going to look up the reasoning behind it. I bet it is something stupid...

Seems like you guys in that area of the US have a hell of a time with this. That sucks man. Wish you all didn't have to go through all the hassle.

Nice! I wonder if my bank allows that.

That is a great idea as long as your comfortable with giving them your actual name. Great advice +1

I am not sure if it is actually illegal but it seems that way. I don't see why it is not allowed.

Someone a while back made a comment that it is not allowed because of the payment method. It's to do with specific billing laws or something of that nature. Don't take my word for it that is just the only reason I have ever heard for it not being allowed in those states.
