Parkinson Disease
Greetings,
My family member has parkinsons Disease in his legs. Very weak (no trembles) FYI. Scientists say this is a disease of the brain and not of the muscles that is why it is treated with dopamine and the like. Anyway, my uncle 72 wanted to try test and see if that would have any effect on his legs but his doc said no because there has been no link between higher levels of test and improving quality of life for Parkinsons patients. (Ass) Soooo, I started to give him half cc of test cyp 250cc twice a week and working with him on some slight and light resistance training. In 8 days he walked down a hallway with out his walker and could lift his legs instead of just shuffle and today he walked about 400 yards up the street unassisted. (again, Screw you Doc!) Leads me to my question are there other steroids that are used medically to restore or improve muscles or prevent deterioration? Thank you in advance for any advice,

If I'm unlucky enough to get a degeneretive disease at that age, and it's crippling me, every minute of healthy remission time is a blessing. Plus at 72 I probably won't be able to pin myself (especially with the Parkinson's).
I could only hope for a family member like you. As far as the law, fuck it, and modern medicine as it is dominated by pharmacuetical companies that treat symptons and not the disease.
StevebIf it was me and I was 72 and very sick, I would go for it. A doctor will say no to any treatment and they do not fix anything. All they do is treat symptoms and make shit worse most of the time.
I know the guys below are technically correct but I will say your uncle is 72 years old and has a serious degenerative disease. If he was of sound mind and made his decision with your help to try this approach who the hell are we to judge? At that low a dose I doubt we are dealing with a huge amount of risk, at least not in comparison to the fate he already is facing. I for one hope it works for a good long time.
Yep that's true , agreed
Here's an alternative view. My step father has Parkinson's and is on reasonable high doses of caber for this. He was also at one stage on doc prescribed TRT. He had some serious impulse control issues that caused significant distress to my family. Eventually they figured it out it was the "lift" the test was giving him plus the fact the caber (at Parkinson doses) makes many patients disinhibited that caused the problem. So out went there TRT and he stopped his crazy bullshit. Lots to consider here my friend. Think your playing a dangerous game.
The phrase "Practicing medicine without a license". comes to mind.
Don't get me wrong, its okay to practice medicine on yourself, it's just when you start practicing it on someone else you can get in trouble. ..............and doctors tend to be very territorial in this matter.
I understand the point youre making but everytime any one of us on this forum offers advice we are playing doctor to some degree.
It may be just me, but I seem to see quite a difference between giving medical advice and sticking someone with a needle.
i get ya, im on the fence on it too, i just look at it kind of like, "whats worse, pulling the trigger or teaching ya how to pull it?" all kind of comes down to the same moral or ethical dilemma.
Wow!! U might have started something that u gonna have to tell the doc about and have that doc refer u to a specialist. You have opened up a can of worms my friend. I think its great, but u better start getting on your "A" game...u cant slack...
Dude is 72, I bet he is capable of keeping his mouth shut and not passing blame.
@ 72, if his mind is starting to go,..........keeping his mouth shut, not so much.
Hell, you see it everyday here on EROIDS, someone starts doing just Test, and they then can't keep their mouth's shut, and we all see ( including LE ) way to much personal information.
Yet, I cannot recall of one single regular member getting busted. Not one. But yea, I know all about how excited guys get after getting a taste for test, I remember it too. Good for them. We do not know the mental condition of this man, but I bet this guy that has helped him does.
Oh yea...i def agree...especially with the results he is getting...
probably not a smart thing too e doing mate if the doctor said no, its good he has improved but at 72 years old, you will likely have to inject him for the rest of his life.
Hey bro...sounds risky, huh? What a determined, diligent and dedicated dude...
