Muscle Cramping

ad

Hey guys,
I'm experiencing some pretty severe muscle cramping. Sucks to say the least. Not just the legs, but abs and others as well. From my research potassium seems to be the culprit but I cant get a straight answer doing internet searches if it's high or low . I drink pretty close to a gallon of water a day so I don't think dehydration is it. I'm scheduled for bloods soon but since most of the community on this board has had bloods and has probably experienced this, I'm hoping someone would know what's up. I'm hoping to get a answer if the potassium levels would be high or low to help me out until I get my bloods done. I woulds imagine its low. I'm 9 weeks into my cycle.

Test E 500mgs/week
Deca 400mgs/week

I was getting mega forearm crampage, especially after a heavy Back/Bic day.... Potassium does the trick, but whats helped me further is Magnesium oil. It's not really oil, but Magnesium Chloride dissolved in water. Apply it topically to the affected area... BOOM!!!!! It will give a stinging or burning sensation, so don't apply it after shaving....HA!!! Give it a few weeks, may help bring magnesium levels up too ;-)

Hey Bros...
Good news- Cramping is gone! I did the bananas over the weekend and it did seem to help a some. But as of yesterday I still had some cramping but not the crippling cramping I had. As suggested I picked up some L-Taurine yesterday and I'm pretty sure that took care of it.
Bad news-Fucked up my shoulder benching yesterday. Damn test! Hurts like a bitch when I mimic side lateral motion. I'm hoping if it's muscular the Test will heal it up-We'll see

Good news on the cramp, get the shoulder looked at as could be rotacuf injury...I don't flat been anymore as much shoulder keeps fucking up, flat and incline dumbbells are a lot better or raise the foot end of the bench up slightly about 2 inches on the flat bench as it takes some of the strain away from the shoulders while benching.

Taurine, use three grams a day. Problem will be solved. Relief will come next day.

Yep I certainly will let you guys know how I made out. I appreciate all the help I have received since joining eroids, and I will making my own contributions in the near future. I not sure how long these supps will take to work, I'm assuming a few days.

I thought about salt too, because I don't add any table salt to any of my food. Most processed foods contain sodium, but I hardly eat processed foods. If I do they're minimally processed (breads, pastas, milk) shit like that. I went to get the supps I need at my local Wal Mart and was surprised they didn't have what I needed. Not even the potassium. I was pissed because they sell every other vitamin and I know I've seen taurine there. So I'm gonna eat bananas like a monkey until Monday when I can get to GNC.

Let us know how you get on after introducing a supplement

Could be a number of reasons, likely not dehydration since you stated you drink lots of it. Up the potassium via bananas or supplements as stated below. Just have to find the vitamin your lacking by trial and error.

Also what is your daily salt intake like? A small amount of salt over the course of the day can help prevent cramping

What works to reduce my cramping is supplementing 5G of taurine a day. Give it a shot along with cd1's advice and it should go a long way in relieving the cramping.

Have you tried taking a potassium supplement or even eating a couple of bananas per day as these are a great source of potassium, sometimes drinking to much water can cause slight cramp as the more you drink the more you urinate which can be taking important electrolytes from your system.
May be try taking a dehydration powder to see if this balances out you electrolytes or even something as simple as Gatoraid
