+ 9 Reduce Estrogen with Diet and Supplements and Increase Testosterone

ad

So for me my diet has always been a weak point and still is. However it's been better than it has. Part of that is due to the fact that my metabolism isn't what it was in my early 20's so I have to watch what I eat, or the fat will start adding up. The other is that I have a better understanding of how anabolic food is. I was thought diet talk was boring and just what juice heads use as a reason why they are so big to take the talk away from steroids, but boy was I wrong. So let's look at things that can be incorporated into our Diet to decrease Estrogen and in turn increase Testosterone.

As we all know high estrogen will have a negative impact on testosterone levels. The most important thing to have in your diet for blocking estrogen are Cruciferous Vegetables.

broccoli

cauliflower

kale

collard greens

You get the point. The green leafy nasty tasting shit. Now there are others, but the green leafy veggies are the best. Fresh organic. This has been severely lacking in my diet my whole life. Mom always said eat your veggies. I am now having a serving with most all of my meals, and in a smoothie with protein and fruit.

There are some other food that I was completely unaware that block estrogen.

Mushrooms

Red Grapes

Seeds- chia, flax, and sesame

Whole Grains

Green Tea

For those of you that don't have enough Cruciferous Vegetables in your diet or are looking to supplement even more then you can take DIM which is Diindolylmethane. This is found in all cruciferous vegetables.

This supplement has a ton of benefits, but the three main ones are:

Makes estrogen metabolize down the 2-hydroxy estrone pathway

Frees up bound testosterone

Acts as a natural aromatase inhibitor.

After reading about this supplement I am very excited to give it a try. Instead of listing all of the benefits I will provide a link so you can check it out yourself. (http://fortwaynephysicalmedicine.com/blog/the-benefits-of-dim)

Here are a few other supplements that are worth looking into.

Zinc
Resveratrol
Myomin
Calcium-D-Glucarate

Lastly I want to touch on ways to lower SHBG

Boron

Studies have shown that 6 mg over 60 days cause a 29.5% increase in Free Test

Zinc

After looking more into Zinc it's seems to be the king of all minerals, and most of us are severely lacking it.

Vitamin D3

It's actually not a vitamin, but a hormone, and can increase test levels. I personally take 1,000-2,000 IU a day.

Magnesium

I've been taking this because I read where it plays a part in regulating BP, but it also can increase Free Test.

So that's a brief overview of some things I've been looking into. I've been learning myself and figured I'd throw it up for you guys also. I plan on adding all of these to my diet and supp lineup. I'm always intrigued by diet and supplementation. I'm all for using more natural products to help with building and maintaining muscle. If some of you guys have used some of these let me know how it's going.

Here are some useful links about all of this. Give them a read. I know I left plenty of things out.

lol, perfect timing for a bump. I posted this almost to the day one year ago. Here I am back in my cyclical life, got soft and gained some fat during the winter. March rolls around and I get my lazy ass back in shape. Couple months of dieting down then start a cycle around May. Guess I should probably read this post again myself :/

What do you think about that DIM so far?

PIN_CUSHION's picture

Only about a month in so far. I probably should have started everything idividualy to gauge results. So I may drop things and see, but my energy is up, slightly better pumps, and seem to be slightly leaner. I'll see what another month brings. I am going to cycle the Boron though. There havent been a lot of studies on it to see what risks are involved with long term use.

Bump* seeing some talk about lowering SHBG

Good information I did not know все these lowered estrogen. This really is the best site for learning not just steroids but supplements and training too. This would be a great pill if it was all compressed into one.

Click the link about DIM. I got some on the way, along with some Boron.

Me either, I actually stumbled across an article about using kale to help control estro then, that just opened the doors. DIM looks like a pretty amazing supplement. I didn't realize the benefits of Zinc either.
