+ 6 Muscle shocking techniques. Need everyone in here
So I've been thinking a lot about this lately after a member made a post about how he worked out with a trainer at the gym one day. And he put him through a totally different type of bicep workout that he would have never thought of. A lot of time we kinda get tunnel vision and don't think of these simple techniques and different ways of doing things that can really help us over come platueus, and just shock the muscles in away they haven't felt before. For example this guy is doing my cutting diet and he gave me a routine that he felt would work with the amount of cAlories I was taking in. And for biceps my last exercise he instructed me to go to the cable machine, grab a straight bar and pick enough weight that you can only do 4 reps and fail and the drop the weight again and repeat all the way to the bottom. And like all of you I have done drop sets before but it's never like this. Usually higher reps with lighter weights, but by doing it this way you get the benefit of lifting really heavy, but it also adds up to probably 24 reps as I only needed to drop off 10lbs each time. So it's simple, and so effective and I couldn't help but think, why didn't I think of that?
I have some of my own techniques I use and I'm sure you guys do to and that's what I want you guys to post. Then we can take what we hear from each other and apply it in the gym. I believe the original post was by winning? Advanced member, but he said it best, we sometimes feel like we know everything about working out. So let's here the different techniques you guys use to really shock your muscles, I wanna hear the unique creative things you do, not that for chest you do 4 sets of incline, them 4 of decline etc. I wanna hear things like supersetting incline bench with incline flys and creative stuff like they that, that isn't typical.

Lol come on daruis post a pick of u and hold a newspaper in your hand or a workout mag. U trash talk a lot with nothing to back up your claims. U are a kid no way your 24. 16 ta 21 range one day u will realize how foolish u was. Thanks for the laughs keep this up and in no time u will have a troll tag lol
I'm ok, I meet the lifting criteria which makes my input valid and everyone else's pointless. I feel special. To be honest I only ever trained to get to this point to be socially accepted, so I feel like my work here is done ;)
However, I am dumb for doing supersets. I'll immediately change my workout routine.
Lmfao glad u feel social accepted now. Yep your input is valid everyone else is complete nonsense

Where he says he trains back seven days a week lol told him he's goin to look like a hunchback
This kid is just trolling. I've got a feeling he's been around before.
Bro your taking kgs? Over here in America we use lbs, so what's 200kg bench like 440 pounds. And a 300kg deadlift is almost 700lbs. Both is those lifts are very respectable for an advanced powerlifter and about 95% of us will never come close to that including myself. Not only is it retarted to train like that due to risk of Injurys but it's sooo unnecessary if you goal is to look good. I used to lift heavy, and since I stopped and started focusing more on time under tension, slow controlled reps and reall squeezing the contraction I've gotten so much bigger. Now who should I listen to, you, or the 260lb ifbb pro who I talk to at my gym who doesn't go heavier then 315 on bench? I'm gonna go with the pro. Lifting heavier is great for your ego but that's about it. If your goal is to get big and not injured you will leave your ego at home and forget about lifting like that. Strength has barely any correlation to growth. I knkw 130lb guys who put up 315, and I knkw guys who are 235lbs lean who can only lift 275 for 6-8. Getting stronger has to do with the effiecjcy of your central nervous system, not the size of your muscles.
Darius-INormal people use kilograms, it's the international scientific system.
That pro is blasting and cruising, why are you listening to him?
What's the point in being big and weak? That's just a feminine loser in my opinion.
Because that guy is a professional body builder who makes his living based off his physique? And I wouldn't call it weak, a 315 bench 405 squat and 500+ dead lift is very very respectable. Heavy weight does not get you big, especially for legs. Reps, time under tension. feeling the entire movement and contraction gets you big. I know powerlifters my age who win there weight classes benching 365, and thats there goal, strength, and thats where there at. And now your saying a bodybuilder, who's goal is to get big needs to be benching 440lbs. Do you have any idea how heavy that is? I will bet money that less then 50% of IFBB pros cant bench anywhere near that. I couldn't give to shits about strength. I would literally give up my strength, and go back to benching 135 if that gets me to my goal faster. ill never be a weight lifter. This is purely for aesthetics. I think you have powerlifting and bodybuilding mixed up bro. 95% of guys who do what we do will never reach those numbers. Doesn't matter how much steroids they take. A lot of that has to do with genetics and how strong your bones are, your joints, and connective tissues.
Darius-INow I understand why you don't like blasting and cruising. You do it purely for aesthetics.
Aesthetics is not a long term goal imo, there are no objective standards. There's also no competition, results are just based on judges opinion. So yeah, that's not a long term commitment. I guess I would have stopped training a long time ago if I wanted aesthetics. (I couldn't get aesthetic with that low test.)
I don't compete, so I'm the only judge. And i have to disagree about i not being a long term goal. It takes a long fucking time to reach the level of development that I want especially considering my starting point. I started at 130lbs at 21 years old. So i was full grown. Ididnt have a 160-170lb starting point like alot of people get blessed with. So my goal of 100kgs 7-8% bf is gonna take a bit. And even when I get there there is always room for improvement. So i believe its a lifetime journey. I would have quit a long time ago if my goal was to be strong. My joints are completely shot, both shoulders, torn disc in my lower back and bulging discs. all fucked up. I used to lift heavy and after about 6 months of it i developed tendonitis in both shoulders and had to take off 3 months from the gym while it calmed down. So Ive really had to change the way i train in order to not get injured all the time.
And ya man I hear ya on the low test. Its definitely extremey hard to make any kinda progress when your test is low as hell. You said they don't do trt in your country. Where are you from.
Darius-IIt's couple of years to reach steroid maximum, of course if you cycle it will take a lot longer.
I don't want to say precisely, but it's post soviet union area.
Well then get the fuck outta there man, no offense but not one of those states is an appealing place to give, I mean you can't even get trt, they would rather you have low test and deal with all the health problems that go along with that then help you out. Bout the only place that's worth anything overther is Ukraine and that's only cauSes I think the girls Are hot. Besides that fuck that area.
Darius-INo, I rather be above average here than some loser nobody in a western county.
+ gear is legal.
About the TRT, there's just not enough demand for it to be a thing. Maybe because the average test for men is much higher than in western countries. There's nowhere near as much feminization going on, no gay acceptance and chit like that.
What makes you think you'd be a loser in a western country? Money? I'll let you in on a little secret of us westerners, money doensnt determine if your a loser or not. I know a lot of really great people who are well liked, sexy girl, happy with there life that aren't anywhere close to rich, and I know a lot of people with a lot of money who are complete fucking losers, no friends, only way they get pussy is If they go see a whore.
But that's pretty cool that gear is legal. Can you just walk into a store and buy whatever you want? A lot of the big underground labs are stationed on those countries but I would assume you can buy pharm grade shit if it's legal.
Darius-INot necessarily, people just hate immigrants. Even if they are not the poorest, so I would be forced to live in an immigrant community. And the worst thing - most immigrants, at least from eastern Europe, live to together. And I don't like some of them, and they don't like me. I know a lot of people that have went to western countries and only a few have gotten out of the immigrant community. That's the main concern.
No, not that legal. No one cares, there would be no charges if you're found with steroids.
But bunk gear is rare, a noob might get some, because the bunk gear dealers don't stay in business for long and good suppliers and dealers are well known. Of course pharm grade is available, it's just more expensive. I'm sure it's available in US too if you're wiling to pay more and know where to look. But the risk of it being fake is greater.
I would suggest becoming a mail order groom. Do you knkw what that is? Women from your country are so desperate to get out of that corrupt dirty poor shithole that they post profiles through an international dating site where they meet American guys who pay for them to come over to america and marry them. They want out so bad they are willing to leave all there friends and family behind to go marry some guy from America that they never met before. So you could do the same thing except find some lonely old American broad to fly you over to my beautiful country and start a good life over here. And then you won't have to live with the rest or those rats from that shithole area.
Seriously guys, this is all we got. 4 guys who have come creative things to do in the gym. The rest of you do the generic 4 sets of this 4 of this? I'm disappointed.
shoxingbiceps17drop sets, negatives, forced reps
I like doin P.R.S. workout, week 1 power week heavy weight low reps, week 2 lower weight higher reps, week 3 shock week which has supersets and drop sets mixed in and keep rotaing that, every so often ill do workouts were i do 2 warm up sets and last set were i left heavy and lift till i cant move
That sounds like a great way to shock the muscles but it also seems like it would be hard to gauge strength progression. Not that I really care about getting stronger, but it kinda helps show me I'm making progress. Might be benifical to do each phase for 3 weeks and them move onto the next one. 3 weeks is still short enough that tje muscle won't get used to it, and then you also have a few weeks to see how your progressing with weight and reps.
Yea mate must try that spend 3 weeks on each phase each time im at the gym no matter what phase im on i always increase the weight and on the power weeks try go all out for example bench press 3 sets of 5-6 reps im always able to add abit extra weight even if its just as little as 2.5kg
Mr KfizzleNice, while on the topic of bicep workout I got one that is sure fire to kill your muscle at the end of the routine. One of my favs to throw in is the negative curl. Grab a db that is kinda heavy but can be controlled. Sit on the curl rack and use both hands to lift the weight to your face... this is the starting position. Slowly lower the weight down with one arm taking about 6 seconds to do so. Pull it back up using both hands as not to fatigue the arm being worked. Repeat this for your 10-12 reps and switch to the other arm.... enjoy the BURN and most ridiculous pumps ever!
I always did like doing a slow and controlled negative but ive never seen a workout specifically for it. Im gonna give this a try
Great info bro. This is exactly ehat I was looking for. Done negatives before but never 10-12 reps with such heavy weight and never with 6 second negatives. Usually just 2-3 when I fail in my normal set. Definitely gonna be adding this to my bicep workouts.
I wrote a couple of workouts up a few months ago, have a look in my forums. Back and shoulders if I remember correctly. Gives you a feel for my mentality with training.
I'm a big believer in supersets / tri sets and drop sets personally, but above all intensity. I very rarely do a workout that just comprises of 3 sets of this followed by 3 sets of that. An example being my shoulder workout today. Super setting face pull drop sets with rear delt fly drop sets, superset side lateral drop sets with upright row drop sets. The only "standard" sets I did we're pressed, mainly because my shoulder is buggered again so pressing is painful and I shouldn't be doing it!
I'll definitely check out your posts later. And bro that's some serious intensity. Makes me kinda rethink how I should train. But you're doing this with a torn rotator cuff? That's crazy.
Not that painful mate, on a scale of 1-10 about a 3. Nothing too heavy so I'm not going as hard as it may seem.
And anyway, it's getting fixed next Friday so I may as well get my money's worth lol!
Lol well that gives me some hope that if mine tears I can stil lift. My shoulders are fucked but I try to take care of them the best I can now. Actualy had a pretty pain free chest workout yesterday for the first time in a year.
It's certain grooves and positions that I struggle with. Wide grips cause me problems pushing or pulling. Like other stuff, you learn to kind of work around it.
Ya I've had to learn what I can and can't do. And just like you I have problems with wide grip exercises. I've basically had to completely abandon wide grip pull-ups, wide grip rows. I seem to do alright with wide grip pushing exercises for some reason. Whatever tho I'll make it work.
They're also the worst for me, wide grip chins / pull downs. Even with very low weight the pain is immense. Get lots of pain radiating down the arm into the forearm.
