Congratulations I don't give a fuck about your points.
FYI: This is a general rant, not aimed at any member but instead my opinion.
I get so sick of these fucking points under our avatars. I sit and watch people post pics of themselves with a bullshit physique and because their "advanced" alot of guys will say, "great work bro" "man you been hittting it hard" and plus one that bullshit, not me. I watch how guys rant and rave about being on HGH and look like shit in my opinion, you can get alot more from a good diet, cardio and sleep than what some members have posted. A woman member puts up a pic (which I can actually say, our women members kick wayyyyyyyy more ass in the gym than alot of our guy members, based purely on pics) and she gets +40, does what really mean she is a level 1 member because she has tits and motivation? I see guys with great upper bodies, and no legs and they get mad respect from people, its all very strange to me. In closing, judge a pic/physique based upon what you see, not because that person holds some sort of weight in the "point" land of eroids. If you don't like my post, I won't apologize because someone needs to say it and I'm that guy. I work hard and can back up my shit talking with pics, and NPC show placings. Peace

BigBmajKarma is just silly crap anyway. I used to care about women getting 50 points from a single picture as well. Then I asked myself why I even cared? I couldn't come up with a reasonable answer, other than perhaps jealousy.
It doesn't even matter enough to think about.
AnonThere was a time when a well placed "boom" or " I hear dat bro " could earn a person several points. Yes its true a stupid story written in Off topic and the witty or even not so witty remarks that followed earned a lot of points at one time. So I think the system has improved greatly from those "good old days"
As far as how people look ? Well I think its unfair to base their karma on your or my standards of looking good. I think its more about trying and the changes they've made . Plus everyone has a diferent back story . If you found out a member takes care of his aging grandmother, donates time to the local food kitchen, and works two jobs to survive and pay child support, would you expect him to put two hours of gym time in every day too ? Some people are just doing the best with what they have available.
AnonI'm not bashing how people, or how anyone spend his/her time. When you put a pic of yourself out in the internet sphere, you could expect a fair and honest judgement, and I do think some comments are just bullshit and made to make someone feel better vs what they actually have contribued to not just training but proper nutrition, rest and supplements. I once read a guy say "thanks to hgh, I can now see my abs, I haven't seen them in years" really? HGH for abs?.....enough said
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkAnonWhy not HGh aids in fat loss .
Anonyes it does, but cardio, proper diet and rest also aid in fat loss and you save a bunch of money. I'm not going back in for with you Novi it seems you have your opinion solidified and thats fine. I just believe theres a huge reliance on gear instead of diet, proper training and rest.
AnonYou are right I do have my opinion solidified, and its far less judgemental than assuming what someone could achieve and why.
Look the bottom line is not everything works for everyone, and age, lifestyle and a whole other host of factors are involved. To me this site is about personal betterment .
And if you didnt want to go "back and forth" you should have said in the beginning " I have no interest in your opinion, Im just ranting" .
Sorry Budda , I always took you for a back and forth kind of guy who was open to diversity in opinions. Didnt mean to make you feel like I was just arguing. I'll leave you alone. Again sorry .
AnonFYI: This is a general rant, not aimed at any member but instead my opinion. Is what I posted....I'm always up for debate but it has be constructive, you seemed to be taking a personal offense to what I've posted, which is fine.
AnonReally ? You think my posts indicate Im offended ? There is absolutely nothing in my prior posts that is anything more or less than a constructive debate. Like I said before you should have added the caveat you also didnt "give a fuck" about any opinions other than your own.
AnonPassive-aggressive? Have a good day Novi.....
There have been many evolutions with the point system since eroids inception but the reality is it is going to come with the territory when you offer as much FREEDOM as eroids does. One of the conerstones of eroids is that we remain a member orientated board with minimal censorship. Then of course of the most difficult concept for many members to grasp is THIS IS NOT A BB SITE
Karma whoring still occurs and when caught consequences are had. There are meaures to be taken when members upvote "g2g" and stupid shit like that.
If you are looking for stringent regs and opinions that cater to your particular genre then maybe a BB site would be more up your alley.
don't you feel like you are repeating yourself? How many discussions have we had that have centered around this NOT being a BB site. I've been criticized personally on this very point and yet it seems that the assumption is that if you are using gear then you must be a body builder. There are all sorts of people here.. endurance athletes, power lifters, boxer, wrestlers, I could go on and on ...
sorry rant over..
AnonI'm a member to several sites, and each one provides its on unique experience...again I'm not targeting Eroids, I'm calling attention to an issue I personally have in some of the "self shot" section.
I hear what you are saying brother... It does not go unnoticed that the majority of members here should not be on juice (at least not yet) We do our best to disuade and point ppl in the direction of diet and training but BIG PICTURE is everyone does what they want anyway so we can at least try to get them through it as safely as possible
AnonAppreciate your comment, and I thanks for adding something constructive to the conversation. Again, I have nothing but praise for this site. I feel WE ALL have done more good than bad with our interactions with each other. Thanks again

I don't see the karma system has having anything to do with what a person looks like. At least if what I have heard over and over here is true,
"This Is Not A Bodybuilding Web Site"
If members give a woman +40 for T/A well apparently they felt that made their day thus warranting good karma. If rank is suppose to be indicative of knowledge of this aas world than it is a flawed karma system for sure. If karma is based on what people believe made them happy then it is working. Or if a high karma member posts pictures and they don't look like MR O, but they have supported and helped out many members with their cycles etc. Then it makes sense if those people come back around and give support. There is I am sure a lot of unrecognized good advice given over pm that is worthy of karma but there is no way to regulate it.
I have seen pro BB on here who don't contribute shit other than putting up pictures to get an ego boost. And then when everyone comes out to praise them they don't even have the courtesy to say thanks. So these self important ass hats come on get their ego stoked and then go away and don't contribute anything. Should they have high karma because they are top shelf bodybuilders but do not contribute anything? Yet they get tons of karma just for showing a picture.
It goes back to is this a site that is supposed to elevate bodybuilding as the center core and reason for existing if it is I am fine with that and I will abide by the rules of that as well. I don't disagree with your points but there is still much more that must be examined. Most of the picture karma I have ever given goes to low ranking members who are getting started and are making progress and have no or hardly any friends to support them. I agree with you in the sense of balance, I will also give karma to the BB who have done outstanding work in their trade and shown great discipline.
AnonI agree with a alot of what you said. I have no problem with women getting points, one pro who comes to mind is Suzy. I follow her pics, and am utterly amazed about how dry she gets and her ability to look hard as a diamond come show time.
I'm more frustrated with members "bullshitting" another member, with +1 and praises, when in my opinon that praise is not due.
I agree undeserved praise doesn't do anyone any favors for making true and righteous progress. It does the person a great disservice for sure.
AnonThanks understanding brother. Like I said honest criticism has taken me a long way in my life both bodybuilding and professional. I would never bullshit a member, when he/she could use some good advice. Also, I don't want it to be overlooked I see alot of honest comments from members in the pic section telling guys to build a better base, work on diet, or focus on cardio.

i just hope my physique keeps on progressing as fast as my karma does.
wanna look the part and have the results.
AnonX2..........well said
I've been in this battle at least 15 times now so I going to save my figures from all the BS of typing how I could or could not agree with you... Next time you have a question and you want to justify my knowledge please by all means PM me.. We will chat and you can decide.. might surprise you on how much us girls actually know... In closing, I take none of this personally or offensively .. Only expressing my opinion.. Have a great day
AnonKind of lost by your response. What I will say about females in bodybuilding, my coach is a former IFBB pro and she is a better bodybuilder than most men I know. Her condition on stage was at one time 3 bodyfat, she has done money comps and now runs a succesful company and has been an asset to my career, thus far.
As most women are.. very knowledgeable and successful. Please keep that in mind when you are saying it's not fair that women get 40+ karma for a picture.. We didn't give those points to ourselves.. and weather or not it's a true reflection of what knowledge one of us has or doesn't.. it's not right to group us into a stereotypical view of... tits and ass.
AnonI was targeting "irresponsible members" giving points based off of sexual orientation. In my whole rant, I never once said anything to dismiss a woman or her efforts. In fact, I said our women members usually look way better than our male members purely based on pic. The tits comment was sarcasm, aimed at male members, again no where in my passage was a women reduced to a sexual organism, and lauded for her inability to live up to a man. Please re-read the post.
Thank you Buddhadboy, We still aren't exactly on the same page with this one.. however, I respect you and your opinion. We are all entitled to different views..
RustyhookerWhy be sick? Ask mods to be a PRO tag. Or even use your comp skills and help out in forums.
AnonI do bro.....and I'm not a pro by any means. I help out when people ask me questions.
RustyhookerHave half my karma. Its not doing me any good. Just a number....
Anonthats some of what I'm saying.....I think new members or possibly members in general see someone with a huge number total and a level 3, advanced title etc, their fearful of being honest with that person. I'm not calling you out, so please don't take it personal. Its just my opinion. My goal was to reach 100 points and I have, thats was my goal.
RustyhookerIm not offended at all. You work your ass off in the gym and it clearly shows! I agree on the levels though. A newb sees high points and thinks its good info. Then ya find out the high rank dude has 1cycle and 19.
I hear ya!
AnonThanks brother. Eroids has helped me take bodybuilding to a level I never knew that I was capable of attaining, but I only got there through members being honest with me.
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkRustyhookerVery true! Can't fix the flaws without real help.
I hate to agree......but yep!
Seeing pictures in that section of people...with what I can only raise an eyebrow to.
What makes it worse is the "bro" hood culture of saying well done....for the sake of it.
I do see what you guys are saying but are we really bitching about people showing a little encouragement ?
Hmmm its a very fine line. Some of the pictures are like week 2 of this stack and look at my back.....and with the greatest respect - thats nothing there yet theres a list of 20 people virtual high fiving them.
I dont understand the logic of saying well done without ensuring theres a value to your well done barring a) doing it for the sake of it and b) because you need to somehow conform the this brotherhood of iron bollox.
I to have looked at pics and been not so impressed and loan behold a barrage of +1s and 'the virtual high fives' follow but I just think oh, dude must have a lot of people supporting him or perhaps to some people that IS impressive who am I to judge. I just don't really see it as much of an issue really.
AnonI respect your opinon, but I do see it as an issue.
That's cool man.
AnonEncouragement is not the issue I have. And I don't believe my intent it bitching but rather an honest observation of the "bro culture" that we're all capable of falling into. I would rather you tell me my weak points, and give me some advice then say, "bro your looking sick +1 FR sent"......
True, you make a fair point. I can see the other side of it to though, I guess a balance somewhere in between a full on critique and a genuine bit of support would be about right.
(I didn't mean to suggest you were directly "bitching". Just a Poor term of fraise. )
AnonWe're good brother. I'm all for a good discussion. We all have different visions for Eroids. I'm glad to be apart of this community.
There's too much ego massaging going on in the pics section, I agree. I don't like being negative but I know exactly where you're coming from here.
AnonThanks alot. Its good to hear that I'm not the only one. Again, we all put in hard work in different ways. But going through the pics section this morning, I was just quite stunned. Appreciate your honesty brother, means alot.
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkAnonThanks, and I'm glad you understand where I'm coming from. Its not a level of me being a hater, but lets be honest with each other here. Alot of guys/gals kick ass in their pics, so there is alot of positive to the site.
