Had a recent back injury due to work and feeling super bummed any ideas what to do?

ad

Recently at work I fucked up my back due to improper lifting and i've been away from the gym for 6 days now, i've actually lost 8lbs just laying in bed all day.

They got me on so many pain killers I'm just hoping the sleep will help it heal faster.
It's back muscles so I was thinking the test and deca would also help heal it. so far the pain has gotten much better, but as i said before i'm super bummed i can't hit the gym. the pain was so bad at first i couldn't sit down to take a shit. I hit the gym sun and did chest, strength is still there thankfully but having to roll off the bench and having a friend help me up sucked. I'm super pissed i can't dead lift, squat, nothing that has motion in the lower back.

Any advice would be great thanks guys.

Start focusing on stability of your core. I have a couple herniated discs. Had surgery on one. I go through periods of feeling great then out of nowhere I get slammed with pain again. Usually takes a couple weeks to get back to normal. Sometimes longer.

I can only give advice on personal experience and my experience has been over 10 years. I went from stopping everything I loved out of fear of that crippling pain until I realized "fuck this, I'm not stopping my life anymore". I've never felt better but it's a part of my life now. sometimes I just have to ride it out. Let yourself recover a little more. Do alot of walking and then stretching. Keep HEAT multiple times a day. DO NOT ICE after the first couple days. You need those muscles warm and loose. A good physical therapist will help also. Tens machine is great. A little Elec stim gets those muscles twitching and waking up.

I hear you. I fucked up a small bone in my left foot for the last 3 weeks.. If you have ever had foot problems you'll know what I mean.. You can't do sh-t.. you can't walk.. you hobble. I was like being crippled for the first two weeks.. I have a jacuzzi in the house.. spent -3-4 days in there soaking for 2-4 hours trying to get the pain out of the foot so I can stand up. I don't think I broke it. I sprained it..( really well.).. its still sore and
the tendons around the ankle are still not good. I ran last night for the first time. ( 40 mins) back on it. And Im "just" starting to feel better.. The bitch of sitting on the couch and not being able to f-cks with your head. Im doing reps in my brain while I sit there watching the tube. put me in a really lousy mood..

Dude you need to shut down for another week or so. If you continue, you're running a high risk of making it worse. 1, 2, 3 weeks down isnt' the end of the world. Your body needs a shut down every now and then to recharge. I know it sucks...I strained a muscle in my chest a few weeks back and I had to shut bench down for 2 weeks (right in the middle of a cycle). But now that I'm back, I'm actually stronger than I was b4 the injury.

I've always said back and knee injuries are the worst. Not being able to breath or walk totally sucks!

Good luck!

I herniated three discs in my lower back about two months ago. It sucks. I'm TRT so I've maintained my test dosage the whole time. I'm also running 2ius of norditropin hgh ed as well as 5mg of TB500 per week. The doctor says I'm healing really well and knows I'm a TRT patient. He thinks the gear is helping with the healing process. I'm more inclined to think that the hgh and thymosin have more to do with it than anything else. If you haven't looked into TB500, you should. Back injuries suck and sometimes you're never exactly the same. I'm back doing lighter workouts and low impact cardio, but I don't see any dead lifts or deep square in my future any time soon. The main thing is time and rest. Good luck to you man.

Rest and slowly stretch. Stay away from the pain pills if at all possible !!
