summer cut

ad

Im beginning my planning for a summer cut cycle. This will be my 4th cycle. Im going to run test/tren and was wondering if you guys personally liked adding any other compound(s) to that cycle.

Tren is the greatest compound for not doing cardio. You seem to have a strong focus on cardio with your training plan. Which is great.
What are your goals with that cycle, as far as weight and body fat?
There are a lot of compounds out there that can probably get you to your goals that aren't as harsh.
Is 2000 calories enough to maintain the muscle you've gained without going catabolic? Search makwa under the magnifying glass and check out his forums. He has a great post that I think you'd benefit from. I'll try to dig it up here in a bit.

That's only one of a few great posts he's made. They're definitely worth a read.

Training seems ok but it's all about your intensity here. I'd drop the extra arms day and throw in an extra legs day but that's me perosonally. High reps, supersets, tri-sets etc. 2000 calories seems very low to me. How quickly do you want to do this and what's the goal? I like to go for maximum effect for the least amount of change. So at 2000 calories if you plateau where do you go from there? Personally I would use low carbs but not keto and apply a carb window - refeed one day a week. At the end of the day it's about what works for you. I said it below - no need for Tren for this cut. Test prop and VAR will do you fine. Sure others will chime in on diet and training. Good luck fella.

EDIT: Should have asked about blood work. Have you got a baseline? Will you pull on cycle bloods? Given dose of test will be quite low and conservative there shouldn't be much to worry about in terms of estro but it's worth pulling bloods to be sure and having an AI on hand. Also good to check liver enzymes even with a "milder" compound for a hepatoxicity perspective like VAR. I always run TUDCA on any oral so that's something to look into. VAR has trashed my lipid profiles but they've always come back to normal pretty quickly but also something to consider.

X2, if you start at 2000 calories and plateau where do you go from there? And with all that cardio, with 2000 cals and cardio youll easily be in atleast a 1000+ cal deficit. At 228lbs I would think you should be able to start this diet at 2700 calories and be in a deficit so youre slowly losing weight, then the gear will aid in speeding up your metabolism a bit putting you in probably a 500 cal deficit, then youre added cardio 4-5 times a week will put you on average around a 750 cal deficit. Then if you stop losing weight you can drop your cals to 2500, then 2200, then 2000. But if you start at 2000 where do you go? Im helping out a female weighing 115lbs right now whos dieting on 1700 cals, and she weighs over 100lbs less then you.

Ive tried dieting on to little calories and it didnt end well, lot of muscle loss. Do you have a really slow metabolism?

How are you running 120g of protein at 230lbs? You should be getting 2:1, not 1:2.

Dacky's picture

Yes exactly. This is all wrong. So I am guessing the low protein is how he gets his calories so low or that was the plan at least. Even if the Tren could protect/limit muscle mass loss on a cut with such low protein (and calories at his size/weight) what happens when the cut it over? Diet is definitely not on point here and feels like way too much reliance of the aas/Tren to achieve the desired results which at such low calories coupled with an extremely low protein macro must make for a pretty hardcore post cut rebound. Regarding the "slow metabolism". This is probably a function of the low calories and poor macro makeup. Ironegame has got you covered on how this should be run. Keep that protein macro at 300g. If you want to run lowish carbs then go with 130g before 2pm (no carbs after) balance in good fats (so about 110g). When and if you reduce start dropping from the fats first. I would refeed once a week. Drop protein to 250g, increase carbs to 450g and drop fats to 50g. This is just my suggestion and there are plenty of ways to make this work.

Stats? Priors?

What's the cycle look like?

The Impastable's picture

BF%?

You jumped on 19nors at your second cycle? What's the rush? The guys below have you covered with a great cutter cycle.

Let us know the BF% and the diet you plan on following.

Livelife76's picture

Two 19nors in first three cycles? Talk about starting heavy.... I think you could get great results running Test prop 100mg eod (less water retention) and Var, with proper diet and pct you'll enjoy it. Why jump on tren so soon???

irongame427's picture

Prop at 100-150mgs eod with 50mgs of var is a great simple and effective cutting cycle. And I always use 50mgs of proviron with it. It will keep e2 at a perfect level not to high but not to low as a short ester like prop wont aromatize very heavily which is why water retention is typically less then with long esters. And provi will add an andogenic side to the cycle leaving you drier and harder looking. And for me it always makes me very vascular.

Livelife76's picture

Just ran provi last cycle, I will run it with probably every cycle from here on. It'd definitely be a good one to add to this cutter!

irongame427's picture

Yup first time i ran it i feel in love with it. Prop var provi, in a year or so when i finally decide to cut thats what im going to be running.

BigThing's picture

X2 fellas. Proviron is a great addition to any cycle

Dacky's picture

^^^^^^^. With the right diet and training, test prop 100mg EOD and VAR 50mg ED (assuming it's quality) makes a really effective cutter. It's going to be the diet primarily that determines your success with the cut, training second and the AAS allowing you to maintain muscle mass effectively and harden up (from the VAR) as you go along. I really don't think you need to be using Tren. What's your BF now by the way? What's the plan diet wise? And training?
