Dbol and dopamine depletion
Just wanted to share my experience with dbol and suspected dopamine depletion.
Around week 3-4 of dbol @ 50mgs ED I started noticing the follow symptoms:
Fatigue
Ability to sleep 16+ hours a day
Irritability
loss of focus
memory loss
Dullness
Lack of motivation to do basic hygiene like brushing teeth/shaving
Constipation
My research shows that dbol increases the speed of dopamine metabolism, but not the speed of dopamine synthesis. Im assuming after a few weeks this mechanism of action left me dopamine depleted.
Im quickly learning that neurotransmitter considerations are huge part of running multiple cycles each year. This was my 2nd lesson. The first lesson was low serotonin from running my A.I. too high, because estrogen is necessary for the production and absorption of serotonin. Training with low dopamine/serotonin is really an uphill battle.

You sound like me when I was on dope. I feel awesome now that im clean and exercising, I have a ton of energy and motivation.
UFOExactly what j223 said.... no idea why u got all hostile with dude when hes giving you sound advice, thats why you asked the question is it not? Anyway, what is your cycle exactly? I had the exact same symptoms and after blood tests it was high estro. Hows your libido?
breakingfaceYou obviously didn't read this entire thread. My "hostility" was sarcasm based on j223 previous statements. Ive been cycling for about ten years now. I usually get blood work every 2-3 months. I havent change my AI protocol in a long time, so I knew it was an estro issue. Im also not retaining excess water or having high bp.
After dropping the dbol I noticed sharp improvement in all sides. I feel "happy" and enthusiastic for the first time since i started dbol.
Glad to hear you are doing better now off the dbol.
UFOAh yea, missed the sarcasm part since I missed j223s original post, my bad.
WithdrawlAll that stuff you described can also be symptoms of liver toxicity. A simple blood test can rule that out. I'd get that checked next time you run dbol.
Oh by the way, your symptoms also resemble HIGH estrogen.
fatigue, lethargy, irritability, and constipation are all high estrogen signs.
also loss of focus, memory loss, and dullness can all be tied into depression which is another sign of high estrogen.
dbol increases estrogen levels
breakingfaceLets see some studies. Please find me a double blind study specific to dbol and estrogen. Otherwise don't post stupid sh-t like this.
Gladly.

the above study shows that Dianabol converts into methylestradiol in the body.
Here's another:

Ok now I showed you 2 completely different studies that prove dianabol converts into a powerful estrogen
here's the wiki in case you haven't already read:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methandrostenolone
breakingfaceWell played. Thank you.
Lets hope your symptoms ARE high estrogen and nothing else such as liver toxicity which was mentioned by someone else.
Dropping dbol and running an AI should hopefully let you know if its estrogen related which I believe it is.
breakingfaceUpdate:
Its been about 5 days with no dbol. I have noticed some marked improvement in my sleep/wake cycles and mood.
For those who are interested in the studies you can go ahead and google.
@ Gator excellent advice about prami/caber. As far as stopping all compounds I don't want to do that just yet because im hoping to nail down the exact cause of my symptoms. If I stop everything at once Ill still be lost next cycle.
Also I see below the advice of dopamine modulators
Prami
And
Caber
ADVISOR
DO NOT USE EITHER OF THOSE MEDS UNLESS YOU DIRECTLY HAVE PROLACTIN ISSUES SUCH AS LACTAION
GO TO A MEDICAL DOCTOR AS THESE MEDS MAKE STERIODS LOOK LIKE CANDY SAFTEY WISE
BE SMART
LESS IS MORE BODY WILL DONIT ITSELF
PERSCRIBE YOURSELF 8weeks clean of all substances am tell me how you feel then?!
Very good post
Pm me if you wanna talk about anything depression or anxiety wise
I hope you can push forward an realize that no matter how you feel now
It WILL get better as the body is amazing it just needs time and we make it ever harder by using substances that affect our normal bodies system functions
They do say dbol is the "feel good" steroid as it gives the user a strong sense of well being. That can explain why But I am also interested in this research you've done on this.
lets see that research that dbol "increases the speed of dopamine metabolism"
otherwise don't post stuff like this based on some theory you have. those symptoms you mentioned sounds like you are depressed and I don't think any of it has to do with dbol at all.
back your stuff up before throwing it out there. Let's see some evidence
What can increase dopamine then possibly?
Caber or prami.
