+ 5 Beach body lifters
Every year around this time I see a sudden increase of people coming into my gym to lift. These are strange new faces. These are the people looking to tone up for the beach. You see, I live next to a great lake and I see this every spring.
I'm not even calling this a bad thing necessarily, whatever gets your ass to the gym.
My concern is these people want shortcuts without the work. They sincerely think in a month or two they can accomplish their goals and slack off after. With the ease of getting gear from the internet I think thats where it becomes dangerous. I turned to the dark side at the tender age of 23, and looking back on it I would tell anybody thats to young. I couldve royally fucked myself and didnt know shit.
My point in writing this is to speak to someone under the same impression. This fitness thing has to become a LIFESTYLE. You dont become a body builder by fuckin off in the gym for a few months a year. And if thats all your doing YOU DONT NEED TO RUN JUICE!
I train year round consistently. Eat healthy food all year. I aint in this for a six pack on the lake and a few extra inches on my biceps. This is a passion for me and damn near an obsession.
Again I'm not talking down in anyone. Whatever gets your fire started. If anyone of them came up to me and had a question about something I would gladly give my assistance if possible. I started lifting because I was a skinny little fucker with a big mouth who was always in a fist fight at school. Back then I was all about getting up to 200lbs and benching 300lbs. I came to learn that for me its not about my weight so much.
Ok I guess my bottom line is if your dead set on using hormones that can cause permenant damage to your body do some fucking home work on the subject. There is so much info on this one site its insane. Theres so many knowledgeable people on here too. Utilize them. Ask questions. They will help, you may get called a dumbass, and appropriately so in most cases, so the fuck what. Ask anyway. The only truely stupid questions are the ones that dont get asked.

Good post. I love dedicated people. yes the beach body lifters are kinda annoying but everyone has their own goals. Its because they are delusional. They are brainwashed by the magazines and shit like that that tells them they can become ripped and big within 8 weeks. Cant blame them really. I thought the same when I first started lifting. Until you start researching and learning about it, that's when you start understanding its not that easy.
That gets a + from me too bro, good post.
Good post bro!
Last paragraph says it ALL for me especially the last 12 words +3 brother
We are on the same team here!!!
DfizzleThanks bro. I know that before I did my first cycle I didnt do near enough research, and ended up paying for it, plus I lost most of my gains. There always more to learn. Its a life long process and im enjoying the ride!
Thats cool bro welcome aboard its a long old ride Lol
But the best i ever took Hahahah
I've been injecting my abs with test and doing 500 crunches a day for the past week. Should I get a gym membership?
"you may get called a dumbass, and appropriately so in most cases, so the fuck what. Ask anyway. The only truely stupid questions are the ones that dont get asked."...
Well said, better to ask crazy questions and be called a dumbass than to walk blindly and be called "29 on trt for life".
Looks like I'm not the only one feeling this way third post like this today!

In response to the original post. I took no offense, but want to add in a disclaimer to my name. All women body builders that compete wear bikinis. My name is a reflection of my body being prepared to suite up and look good year round, not just for the summer. ; )
DfizzleLol I've seen your name before. I didnt write this in response to you, its written for the people who think they can join a gym real quick n BAM! they got it goin on. alot of people think using steroids instantly gives u muscles, when in fact you still need to do the work. They ain't magic.
Lol..... I know this had nothing to do with me. Anyone on hear enough knows I'm not that person. It just seemed appropriate to throw in in my disclaimer. I know what your talking about though. I thought the pre spring break crowd was bad but they came back with 10 times more people realizing they couldn't fit into beach wear. I'm all with you! I want them out of my gym!!!
DfizzleI think I notice it so much because of lake erie, which is like right down the wish from my house. "almost beach time, get that summer body!" Its on the radio all the time. As soon as summers over they disappear, then next year I see them back looking worse than ever. I'm all for someone wanting to live healthier, its just if your not going to take it serious please go to the ymca or something. I train at my gym because of the atmosphere. People are always in there getting ready fir their next show and that motivates me.
Like today there was a woman practicing her posing routine in her bikini. Shes in physique. She is about 40 and looks phenomenal. I can look at her and appreciate all the years of training and dieting shes put in. the dudes in there today just looked at her and said "thats not even sexy, shes way to muscular" without one ounce of respect for the woman. Some peoples kids...
