CRAMPS! Leg cramps during and after a cycle
Was hitting the squats hard at the gym today when I got a terrible cramp in my left butt cheek and hamstring/groin area. Googled the problem and found this:

I'm guessing I have a slight tear in my left leg/butt muscle and it just needs to heal. I'm fine with doing leg extensions/leg curls in the meantime (they don't seem to hurt my cramp). But I just wanted to get some feedback from you guys. Any thoughts?
I thought I had low potassium levels, but I have been taking mineral supplements and adding a little more salt into my diet, still having that cramp problem, I'm guessing my leg has a small tear that just needs to heal.
Right now I'm on week 3 of my Deca/Test E (300mg/600mg a week, pin 1/2 the amount twice a week) cycle with TBol (40mg/day) as a kickstater.

I'll be taking a week off, but doing leg extensions, leg curls and calf work until I feel I can go back to doing squats, also no deadliest either or anything that activates that muscle until it is functioning better. I feel like if I press on (and I have in the past) I'll just make things worse.
tread-mMake sure some of your pottasium is coming naturally and not just supps. Supps often don't break down prkperly depending on quality and as has been said here HYDRATE. A little trick that works for me if I am having a cramp phase. Carry pickel juice with you. If you feel ham cramps or whatever coming on take a swig of the pickle juice, don
'T ask..it works. I am prone to ham cramps and I mean take me to the hospital kinda pain! Lol pickle juice knocks it out and I can move on.
Do I just throw away the pickles and drink the juice? How much? A cup? A sip?
Hate pickle juice. What about vinegar?
tread-mHonest to God I don't know, maybe with some salt in the cocktail but it may well be the salt and dill with or without the other herbs. I guess worst case scenerio you have a sour puss grin on your face all day! Lol. I love pickle juice so its not an issue luckily. I really don't know the reason though, I suspect it causes a release of something in the body as the Pickle juice hits the glands in the back of your mouth because at least for me, its very quick. I can be cramping and having to literally hold my legs back from trying to draw up on their own and this brings that under control to finsih the workout.
Here's a New York Times article: http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/06/09/phys-ed-can-pickle-juice-stop-m...
They say pack some pickle juice, 2.5 ounces seems to work. They're not sure why, but they think it's the vinegar (probably the salt) as well.
I'll go buy some organic fresh pickles so the juice isn't as nasty as Vlassic! LOL Thanks for the awesome tip bro.
lol, im with tread on this, I love pickle juice too - no homo, If your cramps are anything like mine when I get them whatever it takes to get rid of them ill do, I dont care if it was reported that licking a lama's ass will stop cramps I would have me a lama on deck no matter how bad its ass tasted no questions asked.
Thanks guys! Very helpful! Upping the water and potassium
Intake and taking a week off doing squats.
I think this is just a side effect of using AAS. While having sex last wk BOTH of my thighs (right above my knee, the ass side) cramped up sooo bad I couldnt move and I literally could keep having sex for about 5 min and then I had to go slower. Daily , I get smaller cramps in my pecs if I scratch my back or something. Some ppl have told me to up pottasium intake and hydrate more and its worked
Had the same fukn problem sunday bro. My lady had to cowgirl it up bro. Im not sure if hydration was the problem due to all the arginine im taking or low potassium. almost went bananas. lol.
As much as it sucks, give it a little time to rest and then re-evaluate. Hydrate like crazy.
I had a similar thing happen to me going heavy on leg press and actually thought I had injured myself (hermia, tendon, something) and sucked it up to go to the doc. Aside from the stack of questions, even he recommended at least a week of rest on the body part.
Given the stack you are on, you should already be experiencing the benefit of quicker recovery. If it still messes with you after a week or so, you may have to have it checked out. I'm no doc, but if you actually had a glute tear you wouldn't be able to even think of leg curls.
