Gear and Crossfit
What's everybody's thoughts on this topic? I have been training for years and have used a variety of training aspects over the years. I played football in college and have a background in strength and conditioning. I have been an avid power lifter for years and recently have became more and more interested in crossfit, especially the last few years or so. Over the last three years I have Backed off the powerlifting and began crossfitting more and more with some powerlifting cycles in between for added strength to go along with my fitness. I usually run a variety of cycles throughout my powerlifting cycles but tend to take a step back during the crossfit programming and not cycle. Was wanting to know some members thoughts on the idea of running a cycle during my crossfit programs for not only strength but added speed and explosiveness during the crossfit programs as well. Any ideas of so e effective cycles that could be utilized during a crossfit program? Cycles that could increase my fitness capacity as well as strength, speed, and explosion without gaining to much size and increase bulk? Something that wouldn't slow me down too much and that will keep my explosion and speed where my overall flexibility will not decrease dramatically? For more overall athleticism and strength and not so much increased size? Keep in mind I am around 230 now and have been up to 265 or so during my powerlifting programming while on a cycle so I can gain quite a bit of size relatively easy when needed. Hope there are so creative thoughts from some members. Thanks guys

Hey mate good on you for trying something different. If being gay is clean and pressing over 140kg like Rich Froning then yeah mate crossfit is gay. But the fact is I have also started doing crossfit workouts as I find traditional cardio boring. I view it as another firm of HIIT training. As for cycles can't really help you in that regard for what you are trying to achieve. As the cycles in the past I have done were for putting on muscle.
I am new to the board and am definately not on here to take shots at people. Everybody is different and have different goals with what they want from their training. I have followed the bodybuilding programs and the powerlifting programs and eventually get bored with the same variety/options of movemets over and over again as well as the similar days of training weekly. I eventually find myself asking what is my eventual goal or purpose of doing what i am doing. I havr been training for a number of yrars (17) and am still relatively young (29) and also a very creditable back ground in training (BS,MS kinesiology as well as CSCS and USAW certification) so my knowledge within a variety of different training aspects is very creditable as well. Crossfit has given me an outlet within my training that gives me both a wide variety of challanging training movements as well as a high level of competition from others and within myself. I i i have always been an athlete both in high school and college so i love the competition that comes along with crossfit. Funny thing is that engineereddisaster can talk down about my choice of training but I can almost guarantee that his strength numbers are not much more or if any at all higher than this gay crossfitter. So I will move on from there with that comment.
I have ran a variety of cycles in the past. Have used a variety of orals as well as Injectibles. Usually include an oral (dbol or adrol) along with sustanon, tren, and eq. I know this type of cycle would not be what I am looking for here pertaining to my original question. Gained a lot of mass and strength from running that type of cycle. So looking for some options pertaining to more of building a greater, more well rounded athlete. I originally figured some test of some sort would probably be a viable option. Maybe some test P? Was wandering about other options that could go along with test or would test even be a wise choice? I thought maybe an oral that doesn't bulk and bloat you a high amount could be possible but that seems to be disagreed with on here already so any other options or choices? Thanks for the already great help. Means a lot
Take it easy Billybob, I'm just giving you shit, nothing personal. Hang around the boards a bit and you'll see that most of my shit is in jest. Sorry if I hurt your feelings with my comment. It was only meant for a chuckle. I personally don't have a problem with crossfitt. (With exception to crossfitters pull ups, lol) If that keeps a person kicking ass and feeling good, then great,go for it.
As far as hanging with me in the gym..well it's the Internet and everyone is a hero, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and hold off on trying to explain my badassedness to you. For future reference, I competitively wrestle, and I'm currently 238 lbs lean. So if you think crosfitting will let you hang with that, I'm definitely for it. I think that's awesome.
As far as cycle suggestions, have you considered a simple test/equipoise cycle? The EQ is excellent for endurance athletes.
I think the hardest part about being a crossfitter is telling your friends that you are gay.
Fantastic. Thanks for the chuckle.
What kind of cycles have you run in the past?
There are a lot of considerations when adding strength, endurance and explosive power. You can forget any orals and tren is off the table.
