Deadlifts, Squats, and Passing out.
ad
I had to catch myself twice in the gym today after doing a set of deadlifts. It wasn't even very heavy. My breathing is in check and my blood sugar should have been pretty good. Blood pressure was probably high but that's typical.
I love deadlifting but I don't want to faint in the gym every time I do them it happens with squats too sometimes. Any suggestions?
Just let it happen?

safetyfirst21I have this sometimes. I see stars (I call 'em fire flys) pretty often after heavy duty sets. I just take my normal time off between and go again.
BigBmaj what did the cardiologist say about the large left ventricle? I ask because I also have that. But sometimes it can be an indication of (HCM)- a condition that can cause heart arrhythmias and other complication if not watched. Not to scare you but when you here of an athelete dropping dead it's usually HCM. But if they did an echocardiogram (ultraound of the heart) and looked at the results I'm sure your good to go. Best wishes brother.
BigBmajSorry I hadn't seen the question. He did EKG, stress test, and ultrasound, everything looked good but the left vent was large. I didn't ask by what factor, I hadn't done any research at that point. He said I would need to take some pressure meds. I asked him about lifting and testosterone but he didn't really say anything, he said I didn't really need to be concerned as long as pressure was normalized.
I had taken some Neurocore - it was a sample pack I had gotten from one of these local nutrition shops - the day I wrote this question. That shit is extra toxic, made me feel terrible for like 7 hours. I think my pressure was high just from taking that shit. I haven't since had major problems with deads or squats. Very conscious breathing has helped as well - I do still have a tendency to hold when times get tough.
Maybe just a bad workout. Does it happen often?
