+ 1 Who's got a Blacktone/Griddle?

ad

My family got me a Blackstone griddle for an early Father's Day gift. Going to assemble it tonight!
What's your go-to recipe on a griddle? Never really used one, so looking for any tips/tricks!

It’s pretty awesome for cooking large breakfasts. Overall I like it. I get tired of cleaning it though--

I love my Blackstone and use it weekly for easy meal prep batch cooks. Lately I've been making steaks on it. I was apprehensive throwing a nice ribeye on it vs the grill or cast iron but they come out great and I don't smoke up the house.

It is GREAT for weekly meal prep. I use it and my Traeger for that all the time!

They’re great if you enjoy hosting. That’s about the only time I use mine honestly.

Everything and anything, they are great for feeding a lot of people. Breakfast is easy, you can cook about 20 burgers at once. If you’re grilling on a windy day the wind can blow the flame off the griddle and it never really heats up other than that it’s great. Make sure to season the griddle

Chicken Fajitas. Massive amount of chicken, peppers and onions. Use the kinders fajita packets they’re tasty.

Breakfast burritos for the kiddos. Eggs, hash, bacon. Then assemble them and put the burritos on the grill to get some color on the tortillas

Asparagus or broccoli. While my steaks are on my egg with charcoal. I’ll do my broccoli or asparagus on it!

Spam Fried rice. (Grew up eating it so it’s a nostalgic meal) rice, oyster sauce, shoyu, egg, spam, etc.

Smash burgers, tbh I’m not a big smash burger guy but the wife is a fan. I love a juicy thick burger.

Cowboy hash. Cut the yellow potato rounds thin, peppers and onions with chicken and andouille sausage! Family loves it, uses oil so I don’t eat it and can’t weigh it out properly.

Smash burgers, fajitas, and I'll do full blown hibachi setting shit on fire type of shit once in a while. I do smash burgers 2-3 times a month though, you can't beat it for that.

I bought one and had it for a few years. Used it maybe 4 times in that time span. I sold it, I’m a grill and smoker guy.

Philly cheeseteaks buddy. Smashing beers and grilling peppers/onions.

Make sure you season it good or all ur shit will stick to it. Also if it doesn't have a hinged lid, don't put it next to your house/siding or anything you dont want splattered with grease.

Thanks bro! Good call on the splatter- will set it up on the driveway and wheel it back close to the house when done.

Philly steaks are high on the list! Went to college in Philly and the dining hall served them daily! Nothing like a good chicken Philly with onions and peppers after a solid workout.

It’s excellent for omelettes, especially Philly cheesesteak omelettes
