DUDE, do you realize how much SODIUM is in that breading mix.... if you wanna fry shit make your own beer batter, doesn't take no time and you control the sodium... and I would use peanut or coconut oil.... and are the black beans canned???? That throws in another 470mgs of sodium per serving.... Read the labels nooka, thats what they're there for!
Anonhes not a old geezer like us, he prolly doesnt watch his salt at all,
AnonYo brother I hope at the very least you make your own tartar sauce ! It onlt takes about 30 seconds and it will be better too.
I've been baking tilapia EVOO first sprinkle with dill weed & coat top with finely chopped almonds. I use 10 almonds per 8 oz fish. Cook 12-14 mins unless the fish is thick. Raise the the temp to 500 for about 1 -2 mins at end if you want the almonds toasted.
never tried with almonds, gonna give it a shot
Anontheres too many steps to follow, whad yall think Im a chef or sumthin?
I eat nothing fried or breaded. I been using this chili pepper infused evoo pan sear w/ lemon juice squeezed generously, then add chef Paul purdoughs(sp) blackened seasoning, almost no sodium in it. Good stuff, usually I cook bell pepper, mushroom, a jalepeno, and now sweet pea pods w/ in same pan. I like it?
i'm tryin to make fish my basic meat, thanks for idea
I suggest using a presure cooker and "Air Frying" with a Tbsp or two of lard/clarified butter. It reduces the ammount of fat added to the fish.
I love tilapia
