Diet while on clen/ECA/test

ad

So I've been reading up and still can't really decide how I wanna approach this cutting diet. Last year I did a clen/ECA cycle for 8 weeks 2 on 2 off. I did a carb deplete diet where I only consumed about 75-100g of carbs and all before noon with a workout schedule of after 5pm and 45min of cardio 5 days a week. total calorie was about 2200-2350.

I dropped about 35lbs but some of that was unfortunately muscle. This time I'm going to run test with it, small amount to maintain my hard earned muscle.

Question is should I run the same or up the carbs so it have a more balanced 50/30/20 split?

Couple things sure to help mate, do your clen 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, when u are off the clen that's when u do your ECA stack. Second is yout cardio, u dont need to do 45 mins at a time, by that time u are starting to stop using carbs etc for energy and especially on a super low card diet and u will be starting to burn muscle for energy. Instead of doing cardio later in the day u are much better to do it earlier in the day, and do something like HIIT cardio, that way u only have to do cardio for about 20 mins cause it is so intense and u will ignite what they call the "afterburn" where it will raise your metabolic rate and you will burn more calories after the cardio than you would doing 45 mins of cardio, do this in the morningish and dont eat for an hour-hourand a half afterwards to keep some intense calorie burning going. But as soon as u finish the cardio have a high protein super low carb shake and that also stops muscle breakdown. Then later on in the day do your weights and u should see some great results. Hope that helps...

Did you cycle your clen 2wks then do your eca for 2wks then go back to clen etc? Or did you cycle them for 2 wks on and 2 off at the same time?

The last time I ran Clen/ECA I cut out almost all carbs for 4 weeks and got some decent results. I know its not totally recommended but its what works well for me. I try to keep it under 30-35g's per day of carbs.

Good work on the weight loss too! That a huge accomplishment!

When you do run it is easy to burn muscle especially if you don't have much carbs in your system. I was always told that cardio is a must but if you do anything faster then a slow jog you burn more muscle. So do your cardio, do most off it after you lift weights and just keep your heart rate between 60-80%. That way you burn fat and not so much muscle

That's pretty typical what I do now, just don't do it for longer than 20 minutes. I'll have to up it , good point with cardio though.

Why don't you try carb cycling. When I carb cycle I will do low carb/ low carb/ followed by a high carb day or low/moderate/high. It seem to work pretty well for me and I never feel to drained because of the high carb day.

I'm always stubborn about going high carbs on a cut. I've tried to cycle carbs but I always seem to fail or go a little overboard. Might have to try it again for this go. I have 5 months to bikini season so I'll have time to react if I don't see results. THANKS!
