B12 vet vs B12 human grade
ad
Is there actually a difference? I feel as soon as the label states human grade it’s quadruples the price. We all have used compounds for animals. Is it the same with vitamins? I hear b12 with Methylcobalamin is best. Any thoughts ?

lauragorfThe B12 level can be increased by eating. Meat, seafood, milk...
I have been looking for injectable B-12 but it seems to be by prescription only. from what i read it helps with nerve regeneration. my doctor does not think it will work, but i want to try it. anyone know where to buy it? thanks
Alphamale500Have you tried increasing your B12 levels by using a supplement? I use a high potency, time-released B-complex supplement, and my B12 levels are high, actually very high. B12 seems to be a vitamin that the human body absorbs very well, so why do you choose to use B12 injections instead of the tablets? Have you tried using the tablets?
I'm just curious why so many ppl use the injections, when the bioavailability rate of B12 tablets is great, and they work so effectively at increasing your B12 levels. Or am I just lucky to get such a good absorption rate from vitamin B12 tablets??

Iron_Bound1Alpha I have tried several different supplements but never obtained the results I was looking for. I ordered some b12 amp and results achieved in a few days.
Alphamale500Then of course go for it then. Just by any chance you want to give my supp a try, it called;
Nature's Bounty
Time Released B-Complex with Folic Acid Plus Vitamin C
Iron_Bound1Can’t hurt to try it. Thanks Alpha
Alphamale500Yeah no problem. Just throwing it out there just in case you wanted to give it a try. After each bloodwork my doctor tells me that my B12 levels are super high. I was wondering if that's the reason behind why I don't get sick, and haven't been sick in over 20yrs literally! Idk!
If the parietal cells of the stomach can’t make the protein called intrinsic factor then B12 can’t be complexed and it won’t be absorbed in the ileum.
My cardiologist and I decided to run an experiment where I took a common B12 supplement for a month to see if it helped my fatigue. Since it didn’t I took the broken down forms methylcobalamin and methylfolate the next month. Still no relief. Then I got injections and I felt better the next day it was crazy. After stopping the injections my blood test showed I was B12 deficient again.
Also was recovering from two little disk bulges and a pulled muscle along my thoracic spine. None of the ibuprofen or Percocet helped but I felt 80% better the next day after the first shot.
Alphamale500Really, the B12 made your bulging discs feel better? Maybe that's why I don't experience much, if any pain from my bulging discs, Lol! Wow, that's something. I read the information you wrote about above, and I don't disagree with any of it.
But maybe the reason my B Complex supplement works so good at maintaing my B12 at a high range, is because it contains 250mcg of B12, which is 10,417% daily value. It's also time released. Well just in case you would like to try it some time, here's the exact name;
Nature's Bounty
Time Released B-Complex
with Folic Acid Plus Vitamin C
And just to give you an idea of the other vitamin amounts in this high potency B Complex, here they are;
-Vitamin C 120mg, 133%DV
-Thiamin (B1) 5mg, 417% DV
-Riboflavin (B2) 5mg, 385%DV
-Niacin 25mg, 156%DV
-(B6) 5mg, 294%DV
-Folate 666mcg DFE, 167%DV
(400mcg folic acid)
-(B12) 250mcg, 10,417%DV
-Biotin 300mcg, 1000%DV
-Pantothenic Acid 10mg, 200%DV
I’m not sure the brand I used but it was also a B12 complex with similar looking ingredients just in the form of an injectable. Being that it’s water soluble I’m not sure how it stayed in my system long enough since it was biweekly shots but hey I’m not complaining - it worked.
I don’t think it would directly help with bulging disks since nerve cells don’t regenerate much unless there are high concentrations of BDNF (found in turmeric btw). I think the help came with regeneration of all the connective and muscle tissue damaged along my spine that happened with the injury. B12 and folic acid are necessary for DNA replication to make purines and pyrimidines. Without them the muscle and connective tissue cells can’t replicate to heal the injury since they can’t form the bases necessary to synthesize new DNA strands before mitosis.
Alphamale500Speaking of turmeric, I use a supplement called Theracurmin @100mg, which is a somewhat newer form of turmeric which has a very high bioavailability rate. Ordinary turmeric has such a low rate of bioavailability that it's not even worth taking in its regular form. But anyway, what I wanted to say is this Theracurmin works so good for my shoulder pain. So there's something in turmeric that really has pain relieving properties for sure!

Alphamale500Well if it's the only thing that works for you, then by all means use it. I was just wondering if ppl who use B12 injections have tried the pills first. The high potency B complex supplement I use contains 250mcg of B12, whch comes out to 10,417% daily value. Shit, maybe that's why mine work so well, Lol!
Iron_Bound1Holy shit! You probably piss most of it out. I never felt the benefits from pills.
Alphamale500I'm sure I do piss most of it out, but they do bring my B12 levels very high. Way out of the normal range. And I actually feel great after eating and taking all of my vitamins and supplements! But I hope I do piss out most of the excess anyway, because they're very high potency pills.
Do you have to take your B12 injections every day? If you do, then it might be worth giving these pills a try. But of course, stick with whatever works best for you! I think the reason they work so good at raising my B12 levels is because they're high potency tablets and they contain a lot of B12 like I mentioned. I've actually never seen a B-complex supplement with higher amounts of the B vitamins than this one.
Iron_Bound1Good info Bravo. Thanks man
I've used Vet grade GEAR and honestly some of it is better than the UGL stuff on here. So go for it IMO.
I have used the b12 from the feed store. A little pip ie.
They quit carrying it and only have the b complex. ( said because people were using it) ( had to stop making it) It's about 7 times as strong as the stuff for people. I put a half mil in my coffee every morning. Taste like shit but no pip. Helps appetite and mood and general well being.
Iron_Bound1Nice! The b12 I shot burns like fuck going in but no pip
Human grade is very often Vit. B12a, better absorbation.
Iron_Bound1I found many sources online since it’s legal there are many offers out there
Yes is exactly the same, all the veterinarian products must be safe for human consumption, also it happens in the other way, animals can use human drugs and its called extra-label use and vets can prescribe human drugs to animals.
The only difference is in the quantity of active substance.
Iron_Bound1That’s good to know. Thanks Sky
I wish I knew as well man, I’d go to the feed store and score,
I hope someone could chime in
