TST E + EQ dosage timing
Hi everyone,
I could use some advice regarding my cycle.
Up until now, I’ve been on 140 mg of Test E per week, which is a dose where I don’t need to worry about using an AI. The only other compound I’ve tried was Primo at 200/200, but I found out that DHT-derived compounds don’t really agree with me.
So I decided to try EQ, starting with a ratio of 300 mg Test E / 100 mg EQ per week.
I started both compounds at the same time, which I realize may have been a mistake. I split the doses into 3 injections per week.
I tend to aromatize quite heavily, which is why I wanted to add another compound that could potentially help keep E2 under control instead of relying on Arimidex or another AI.
Almost immediately, on the second day, I noticed a small lump forming under my nipple, so for now I’ve started taking 20 mg of tamoxifen.
My question is: I also have Arimidex on hand. I know EQ has a very long half-life, so roughly when could I expect it to start having an effect on E2?
I’d rather avoid crashing my E2 too low. That’s also why I chose to start with 300/100 and adjust the ratio later if necessary. I’d rather be in a position where I need to lower E2 slightly than have to bring it back up after crashing it.
If my E2 ends up getting too high before the EQ has had time to take effect, would it make sense to try something like 0.25 mg of Arimidex 3x per week?
Thanks in advance for any advice or information.

For me it took a couple weeks before the EQ really impacted my E2. It hit me hard because I'm a low aromatizer. It works quite well as an AI on cycle in lower doses.
Front load the eq a bit next time. I need a 4 or 5 to 1 ratio to keep e2 in range so if I’m running 500mg test, I run 100mg eq and dose 200 EQ for the first two weeks. Too late to front load now though.
If you have spicy nips right now, treat with 12.5 aromasin as needed by feel, giving space to see if the EQ metabolites have caught up. Don’t commit to some made up number a few times a week and crash your e2. Permanent gyno doesn’t pop up that fast
There is no way you developed gyno that fast, even If your e2 is out of range it will take time for it to develop. Half-life of your Test is 5-10 days so it will take a bit to saturate and start causing you trouble, I think you are fooling yourself and believe you developed gyno.
Also EQ AI metabolites hit real quick aka under a week, you do not want to crash your e2 because it will take a lot of time to recover.
Stick to the 3:1 ratio get bloods after 6-8 weeks then adjust it if needed
That’s exactly what I needed to know. I’ve had gyno in the past and even had surgery for it. My surgeon told me that they always leave a small amount of glandular tissue behind, so maybe whatever is left reacted somehow.
What I was mainly wondering was whether, since EQ has such a long half-life, its AI-like effects would also take a long time to kick in, and whether I would need to manage E2 with something like anastrozole in the meantime.
My concern was that I’d start using anastrozole, its effects would accumulate, and then the EQ would kick in on top of that and send my E2 into the single digits.
Raise the EQ or lower the test. If you’re a high aromatizer a 3-1 ratio of test to EQ is gonna keep your E2 high. I’m in the same boat. I can run EQ at 75% of my Test dose and E2 is ok to slightly elevated.
