B12 vet vs B12 human grade

ad

Is there actually a difference? I feel as soon as the label states human grade it’s quadruples the price. We all have used compounds for animals. Is it the same with vitamins? I hear b12 with Methylcobalamin is best. Any thoughts ?

Gotta admit I use to love my B12 injections years back, especially when I somehow got extremely low B12 stores probably down to a Hepatoxic Liver at the time. Only ever got the Human grade Methylcobalamin from the Doctor on script then bought some Cyanocobalamin amps to inject myself. Problem is they work out so expensive to do regularly, so now I stick with 1000mcg tabs which are only £1.50 for 60!!! Recently had bloods done and they work really well - take them with 400mcg Folic acid tabs as in combination they work brilliantly on the liver.

Here are the best versions rated to most bad.
1 adenosylcobalamin the absoloute best. natural and active and gets all the benefits u like.

2 methylcobalamin the nerve b12 natural and active in ur system really good and beneficial.

3 hydroxycobalamin good natural but not great because not active in ur system

4 cyanocobalamin synthetic poison not active in ur system and barrely works or get absorbed even injection. Thats why doctors can have u as their patient as long they want because it doesent heal u like the other formels.

Ive used injection of adenosylcobalamin 10 mg and methylcobalamin 5 mg and ender at 1476 pmol/l after 10 ml og both. And healed many with b12 defiency not to see their doctor anymore.

Sorry i cant find all links might be better to delete my comment then? But i see im not allowed to delete it. I did proove everytihing with blood results but it got removed from the admins inhere long time ago. 10 ml adenosylcobalamin and 10 ml methylcobalamin had my b12 go to 1476 pmol/l
Ive helped tons of people out of b12 deficiancy in the past by showing them that the active formels b12 are way better. Instead of being a lifetime buyer from the doctor there gives u synthetic crap poisoning like cyanocobalamin there barely works compared to the other versions.

I have been looking for injectable B-12 but it seems to be by prescription only. from what i read it helps with nerve regeneration. my doctor does not think it will work, but i want to try it. anyone know where to buy it? thanks

ED9's picture

Germany has it without prescibtion, but they dont have adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin unless u order it and pay forward and wait 2-3 weeks.

If the parietal cells of the stomach can’t make the protein called intrinsic factor then B12 can’t be complexed and it won’t be absorbed in the ileum.

My cardiologist and I decided to run an experiment where I took a common B12 supplement for a month to see if it helped my fatigue. Since it didn’t I took the broken down forms methylcobalamin and methylfolate the next month. Still no relief. Then I got injections and I felt better the next day it was crazy. After stopping the injections my blood test showed I was B12 deficient again.

Also was recovering from two little disk bulges and a pulled muscle along my thoracic spine. None of the ibuprofen or Percocet helped but I felt 80% better the next day after the first shot.

I’m not sure the brand I used but it was also a B12 complex with similar looking ingredients just in the form of an injectable. Being that it’s water soluble I’m not sure how it stayed in my system long enough since it was biweekly shots but hey I’m not complaining - it worked.
I don’t think it would directly help with bulging disks since nerve cells don’t regenerate much unless there are high concentrations of BDNF (found in turmeric btw). I think the help came with regeneration of all the connective and muscle tissue damaged along my spine that happened with the injury. B12 and folic acid are necessary for DNA replication to make purines and pyrimidines. Without them the muscle and connective tissue cells can’t replicate to heal the injury since they can’t form the bases necessary to synthesize new DNA strands before mitosis.

I've used Vet grade GEAR and honestly some of it is better than the UGL stuff on here. So go for it IMO.

Bill G's picture

I have used the b12 from the feed store. A little pip ie.
They quit carrying it and only have the b complex. ( said because people were using it) ( had to stop making it) It's about 7 times as strong as the stuff for people. I put a half mil in my coffee every morning. Taste like shit but no pip. Helps appetite and mood and general well being.

Human grade is very often Vit. B12a, better absorbation.

skydancer4's picture

Yes is exactly the same, all the veterinarian products must be safe for human consumption, also it happens in the other way, animals can use human drugs and its called extra-label use and vets can prescribe human drugs to animals.
The only difference is in the quantity of active substance.

I wish I knew as well man, I’d go to the feed store and score,
I hope someone could chime in
