Pre-cycle bloodwork. What should I do?
Hi guys and gals,
First of all, chemari is:
41 y.o.
6,0
185 pounds 17 % b.f.
2 years of constant training after a 10 years break.
Cycle starts: 15 march
Cycle planning: 12 weeks 500 mg Test-e / D-bol kick 4 weeks @ 30-40 mg
I've just received my precycle bloodwork. Not bad, but some parameters makes me worry:
Total chol: 236 (<220)
HDL: 58 (35-55)
LDL: 158 (<130)
Total bilirrubin: 1,35 (0,2 - 1,1)
Direct bilirrubin: 0,2 (0 - 0,25)
Alk. Phosphatase: 162 (80 - 306)
Tr. AST: 32 (17 - 37)
Tr. ALT: 40 (5 - 40)
GGT: 27 (10 - 50)
I've had a bunch of bloodwork in my life. Twenty years ago, I was diagnosed with Gilbert Syndrome, a benign condition that makes your liver to produce an higher-than-normal bilirrubin level. That explains the elevated bilirrubin in the bloodwork.
My liver enzimes are always borderline, wether I workout or not, even if I drink. ALK-P and GGT are always midway.
I'm genetically prone to high cholesterol, even on a clean diet. Almost every bloodwork came back with ranges around 200 - 240.
What do you guys/gals think should I do?:
1) Don't start any cycle at all, unless you get the cholesterol under control.
2) Start the cycle, drop the d-bol because is very harsh in lipid profile (It is?).
3) Start the cycle, don't drop d-bol but have bloodwork done every ...... week.
4) Start the cycle, don't do shit and take those pills/pins as deep as you can.
5) You're a moron. What you have to do is ..........
Tomorrow I'll have my hormone panel. Will see how is it.

tread-mThis is incomplete for cycle purposes for your age. I will say you would benefit a great deal more through trt likely even without cycles. Cycles alone will put someone your age on a serious roller coaster and my guess is it may even cause a net gain of zero when the year is over. In addition, people often don't know just how far they had slipped given it was so gradual, then you hit a cycle and come off and pct and drop natty back off the cliff and the depression sets in and you hang yourself. Don't hang yourself, PM me. Lol
Hi tread,
I always read your posts and I have carefully considered.
I agree trt is a very good option for anyone in my age. Tomorrow I'll get my hormonal panel, and I expect a low test level. (I have symptoms of low test).
What concerns me about trt is the spermatogenesis shut-down. I still want to have a baby and trt, as far I know, will makes me sterile?
Do you have any experience about keeping fertility on trt? Maybe with some HCG?
I can't find any reading about long term hcg use.
To be honest I think that the "normal" numbers they give are kind of a shot in the dark and not really a true number to go off of. The reason I say that was my contest prep always told me that if I were to have my cholesterol checked during preseason diet it woulkd come back high....not too sure why. And those diets are soo damn clean its rediculous.
I mean do you eat like shit or does your liver disorder cause higher HDL/LDL levels too? I dont know enough about your condition but thats what Im coming up with for now... more info on its way from others
I just know its like the BMI thing, im 5'8" 200lbs 12%bf and i would be considered obese in the doctors eye...not the case
Hi,
My condition has nothing to do with high cholesterol. And my diet is in check. I eat as clean as anyone can. Additionally, I live in a country where olive oil is fairly avalaible (and cheap), and is almost the only fat I take.
Yes, numbers are numbers, but if we do bloodwork that's what we get back: numbers. What this numbers means is the key for keep healthy.
Maybe you desagree...
