Over 40 T Cycle with Var

ad

I'm just over 40, and in relatively good shape. 5'11" 185lbs about 10.5%BF I've been training off and on for the past 20+ years. My only medical issues are occasional asthma and my joints are really achy. I noticed about 2 years ago it was nearly impossible to maintain strength, build muscle and stamina was at an all time low. Additionally I was in a permanent brain fog with crap self esteem. I have since been on TRT, originally overseen by a doctor until I realized was a financial scam it was. Then I started self administering. My TRT regimen was about 150mg a week with the doc, about 200-220mg when I do it. Dosages vary because I pin every other day, to prevent the hormone roller coaster. I'm also an .25 of AI ED. About 5 weeks ago I started dosing at 100mg EOD which is effectively about 300-400mg a week on average. I have seen tremendous results while on just test alone, as one would surely expect. I was considering adding Var to the cycle for the remaining 5 weeks at 40-50mg a day (still trying to determine dosage).

My girlfriend has recently raised some concerns with Kimbo recently in the news. So my question is how safe are these dosages for someone at my age. I know everyone responds differently. I also realize that the UG Var I have could very well be some variant of Winny in disguise since my tablets are unmarked and not in a blister pack. I know my body responds great to test, but i'm bit worried about the orals since they are new to me.

Is the water safe to swim in?

Full cycle about 50 days, was planning on 60. I just finished my last back-filled syringe. So starting Friday I will drop the dosage to 150mg per week and basically see how that effects me. I reckon it will take a number of days if not weeks before I mentally feel the change. Since I plan to be on TRT for life, I'm not anticipating on taking any Clomid, even though my TRT doc gave me a ton of it.

I'm not opposed to cycling in the future, but would like to keep things safe. I presently do all the TRT housekeeping items such as taking tons of quality fish oil, COq10, eat well, don't drink, and include a cardio element in my training. I'm also monitoring blood pressure and donating blood every 45 days for good measure.

I know I feel best at 200mg per week minimum, but if thats not sustainable there is no reason to continue at that dosage. I defiantly would like to avoid the whole Death thing.

220mg a week is a permanent cycle not trt. The doctor put you on 150 a week for a reason, it's because your bloods came back at normal level for your age on that dose. At that dose you are more then likely about 12-1500nl a week which is not normal even for a 20 year old. At your height and bf you are on the slightly lean side so not sure why you want to even consider adding a leaning compound.

I was considering the Var purely for the potential strength gains and the fact I have been told / researched it as being one of the orals with the least side effects.

As for my T levels they came in at 1100 at my last blood check. Esteidol and HCT were all in check as well. ideally I would look like to safely go beyond TRT maintenance levels. But again tough to say where that is or if advisable.

1100 is the high point and at 40 you really don't want it there. At 42 my doctor told me I need to be at low 6 high 7 due to health issues that will arise because remember one major thing, you are replacing what you don't make naturally and 1100 is not natural for someone over 40. Anyway anavar is more of a cutter not a strength gainer it was used for anaemics and aids patients to stop muscle wasting and provide some appetite. There are better orals out there for strength tje 1st being a better training routine and pushing the limits every 2 weeks.

I think it's important to note that 1100, at 42, may not be normal today, but that is not the case 60 years ago.

Baseline testosterone levels have been declining rapidly since we discovered it. We really don't know what is normal and what is not.

All that said, the older you get, the more blood you should be donating.

Thanks for the advice, I will start backing down my dosages immediately and drop the Var for the equation. You confirmed what I already knew. I have always been a tough gainer so that was really my motivation, not so much impatience or trying to avoid hard work. Too bad I kinda liked feeling like I was 20 years old.

Everything has a price brother, at our age it's something we can't afford anymore. Enjoy the feel good train and enjoy the training, stay on the prescribed dose for a while until your body goes back to normal and research some light cycles.

Well I know no matter how much Test I take my HCT levels are around 49 despite the blood donation. Even with level at 1100 the doctor gave me a clean bill of health, and said you look great. But.... you should consider lowing the dosage. I was actually surprised at how high my level were on just 200mg a week. At 150mg I was closer to 550-600 on average. In my mind the math does not add up but, the results of the test are what they are. I will keep the dosages lower, for a few months. Perhaps I will dabble with some peptides in the meantime. My anti aging doc suggested a 2 month course of Ipamorlin, which he is running a special for 1500$. In my mind that robbery since a vial of the peptide is about 30$ online.
