ad
Fellas need help, I had a bad cycle experience a couple cycles ago with back acne I tried everything to get rid of it. The only thing that help was accutane but it was brutal and a long painful experience. I was wondering what you guys do or recommend to take to help prevent during and post cycle for acne?

So I have I the same problem . I went to Blood test because my feelings telling me there is something wrong in my hormones . And guess what ? My estro was 105 and the max supposed to be 44 I guess . The strange thing when I'm on cycle most of the acne disappeared . So the idea it's good AI . When I use Adex it's control the estro as long as the estro controlled it's means your acne too plus s your Sebaceous glands fine too and here is the secret . Anyway use good AI and there is a product they call it zinc for acne this helped me too .
moojI get the odd spot here and there still but for me its about staying away from certain compounds such as dbol. As soon as I get tempted by taking just 2 tabs of the stuff for the odd pre workout 48 hrs later I get breakouts on my face, chest and traps. I've now discovered with prohormones such as superdrol & M1t this isn't an issue as harsh as they are on other things....but the gains are way better
Hey Bro, I suffered from the same issue. The only thing that worked for me is beta carotene.. I take 50,000iu ED and its seems to do the trick. it also perfectly safe, whatever ur body doesnt use it disposes of it
No I never tired Finasteride. I had acne since I was in middle school tho and used a couple different tetracyclines. Thanks for all the info fellas its been more then helpful to help me out
I suffer from acne real bad as well mainly my back and sides.
I use an old school remedy bar soap and water lmao
If it's being really stubborn I by the body wash made for acne it doesn't stop it but it keeps it somewhat under control.
Have u tried Finasteride ??
It works by blocking the production of a potent form of the androgen (male hormone) testosterone. Excess levels of this hormone can trigger acne, and finasteride might also be beneficial in treating acne by decreasing excess sebum (oil) in the skin.

everyone nowadays reaching for the top shelf with the damned accutane. Accutane is the last resort for acne. It's the atomic bomb for acne treatment. It shouldn't be your go to. acne takes time to get rid of. Accutane destroys your kidneys, liver, and skin. your cholesterol gets messed up.
Accutane goes into your dermis and DESTROYS parts of it so your body cannot produce essential oils. it takes YEARS for your skin to recover.
When I breakout this is what I use:
Wash yourself 3 times a day. get some Nuetrogena soap and a back scrubber, so you can reach your back. use the Soap with the sal acid with the tiny beads twice a day. It comes in an orange bottle. take the time to actually wash.
Use BODY CLEAR body wash from neutrogena. it has salicylic acid built in.
then use Equate Beauty Original clean Astringent twice a day on affected areas. it comes in a blue liquid. it stings like a bitch.
then before bed use Body Clear Body Spray 360 sprat from Neutrogena.
Change your diet to include coffee and natural diuretics. Cut potatoes and other starches. Cut fish oil and other omega 3's or 6's you may have in your vitamin plan. fish oil makes me break out. CLA works great for me.
Keeping your test AND estro levels stable on and post cycle is key. Fluctuations can cause acne, so stay on top of both and it usually eliminates or keeps things at a minimum.

Everyone is different brother and the causes are wide and varied. Estro is the usual suspect and has already been mentioned below. Unfortunately for me it's not this that causes by breakouts and I have the bloodwork to prove it. For me it's the 5 alpha reductase of testosterone to DHT that causes it. I her for have to run lowish (usually less than 500mg) of test in my cycles. Interestingly taking DHT derivatives (most orals for example) doesn't affect my acne yet some are fine with test and high estro but add a DHT derivative and bang breakout city.
So you will need to figure out what is the cause specific to you. Blood work to start and throughout cycle and around any breakouts. I have never used accutane due to its toxicity but I have heard many who say once they had been treated with accutane there acne never came back no matter what they were running. Other things you can try is to take an antibiotic like doxycycline or trimethoprim before, during and for a month or so after you cycle to try and keep it at bay. Again it's more substances stressing your system so you need to consider that.
Lots of good posts on here about acne so use the magnifying glass up top. Hope this helps.
P.S. You're rather young and quite light to be thinking about running a cycle. I know you've run one already. Now this could have contributed to your acne as its all endocrine system related and anyone taking aas is messing with this system. It's especially not advised for those under 25 and even then should be carefully considered. You should post up your cycle plan, goals, diet and training to get proper service here.
SwoldigerI took Accutane and never had an issue with acne afterwards
I took it also, 7 months, most of the time at 160mgs ed, i had terrible back, shoulder chest neck and facial acne and it worked like a fucking charm. For about a year after i only got a spot here and there when cycling. These days i get a bit more then that, i got like 2 on my back, compared to fucking 30 like back in the day, ill get 1-2 on my face here and there. It definitely didnt end it all for good unfortantely, but even my doc said alot of people need to come back for a second course to finally get rid of it all for good. I figure as long as im cycling im gonna get some spots regardless of a second course or not. Maybe when i quit usiing gear ill run it again for 6 months but until then i just think the same things gonna happen, spots will gradually come back.
step one, get bloodwork and make sure your estro is in check. this will take care of it for alot of guys. i personally have struggled on and off with acne since starting steroids.
getting my estro within the proper range made the biggest difference. i havnt wanted to use accutane, i personally just deal with a small amount of acne, when i get ready for a show and i need it gone, i hit the tanning beds for a few weeks and it all dries up.
use the search button, tons of different suggestions from creams to vitamins will come up. cant speak on the effectiveness of any of them personally.
