+ 5 AI's and how they effect us differently

ad

Just wanted to share an experience I had not too long ago, as I've had several friends and fellow juicers ask me lately what my AI protocol is. Probably about 9 months ago, I was having some issues with puffy, itchy nipples and what I felt was water retention and an increase in my blood pressure. This was during a cycle in which I ran a higher, well for me, test dosage at 750 per week. I personally like to keep lower doses if possible, to help avoid negative sides... and let's face it, if you're growing, why push it? I had experienced a bit of gyno in the past and could usually get it under control with a low dose of Arimidex. So, as usual, I threw in some pharma grade adex and expected the symptoms to subside. After about 2 weeks of nothing, I began to wonder what the issue was. Instantly, bunk AI popped into my head, but I realized this was the same batch I had used previously with great success. So, going for plan B, picked up a few from a friend who gets them from his endo for his TRT and again, no change. At this point I'm clueless. So I made an appointment with my doc, got a full panel done, and as I suspected, E2 was through the roof. Fortunately my doctor and I have a fairly open relationship and I gave him a very un-detailed scenario and he informed me that he had seen cases where an AI stopped working over time for some of his TRT patients. This is when I started doing a little digging. Basically what I found out in a nutshell, is that as we age and lifestyle changes so does our bodies chemical makeup if you will. What used to work may or may not always work. So, back to the drawing board. I decided to try Aromasin/ /Exemestane and after about a week, my symptoms started to clear up. My energy went up, puffiness went down and so did my shit attitude! Estrogen control is vital in this game we all play. With that being said, GET YOUR BLOOD WORK DONE!! Throwing random meds and going off what a buddy said is not how we need to go about keeping our levels in check. What works for one may not work for another. If you can't get these done at your personal doctor, get them ordered on line. Privatemdlabs.com and order the female hormone panel. I know Rusty, Gymjunkie and several others are always pointing this out, just wanted to share my story. Sorry for the lengthy read but hey, the nipples you save may be your own!

Personally for me, I felt like my cycling changed in my late 20's maybe 28-29. When I was young and dumb, I ran sust, test e, cyp, anadrol, dbols and never once used a pct or even considered an AI during cycle. I recovered fine; but fast-forward to about 28 years old and I ran a test cyp/nandrolone decanoate cycle and thought I was prepped with nolva/clomid, but had the worst recovery ever. After that, I switched to all short esters and made sure that I had all of my ancillaries in place before cycles. The odd thing is that I noticed the same thing with propecia. I started propecia at ~23 and had no issues, but by around 29 years old and I had ed and every negative symptom imaginable. It wasn't until I ran a nolvadex only cycle that I realize my estro was too high. Fortunately, I never developed gyno, but getting it up for the old lady was a challenge in some of those worst times. I think for males, the natural test levels begin to decline in your early 30s, so if you are messing with your hormones prior to this , you will start to see recovery getting a little harder every year after your 30th. And for those of you using propecia, always have both nolva and an anti e on hand (arimidex is my choice) , and if you are feeling like shit, run a short 2 week cycle of the nolva or AI and I guarantee you will feel like a new man.

Thanks for sharing, a really helpful subject that needs to be brought to life more often. I was in a similar situation myself. I find I need hardly any aromasin to keep my oestrogen on point but she's loads of Adex to feel like crap and barely do anything.

Good points. I've found this to be true. The older over gotten (I'm trt), aas and AI's affect me differently. Also esters effect me differtly, when they didn't in the past.
Getting bloods done and listening to your body is key. Just cause it worked for years, doesn't mean it still will.
