IGF Binding Protein?

I went to the doc for a check up and blood work before I start my next cycle and had him check my IGF levels along with the usuals. Test came back with IGF binding protein result of 5460 ng/ml. Anyone familiar with this? Doesn't look like the usual tests I've seen. Thanks!

I don't know what the exact numbers should be (you're gonna make me research this shit) but I do know that elevated igfbp-3 has something to do with colorectal cancer from my grandfather. I can't give you anymore info then that. It just rang a bell in my head when I saw igfbp....I think there are 6 types. #3 and #1 are the most common. I would actually have to ask my mother more about it but I'd hate to bring up bad memories (my grandpa on her side). Just talk to your doctor about that test, fuck your igf numbers for juicing. Take care of yourself brother, testosterone and growth hormone aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Stay in the best health you possibly can.
Yea i saw some studies that linked a high # to cancer, fortunately I was mid range. I just hadn't seen it before, maybe my doc was confused on what I was lookin for... I was trying to get a baseline igf level. Sorry about your grandad man. I def agree our health is #1 priority, that's why its good to have guys like u on here. Us meatheads gotta look out for each other!
Just an update... IGF-1 test is completely different from what my doc pulled. He pulled an IGFBP-3 test. May want to be more specific if you guys go to your MD... Looks like I gotta go get it checked again.
