Going to doctor in December and have to get off test to show normal. HELP!
I don't know if this is the best forum to post on not but here it goes: I'm 36, almost 37, 5'10", 250 lbs. and I've been on TRT for the last 2 years and about 6 months ago I upped my weekly dose of 80 mg test cyp to 500 mg test cyp per week and have been using deca for the last 4 months and even ran some dbol in with it all. This is my first cycle and I understand that it was foolish of me to run 3 different things on first cycle... I should have stuck with just high dose test but I'm an idiot.. what's done is done. Now I need advice as to how to come off of everything by the middle of December when I see my doctor again and he tests my levels. The levels have to come back low to normal to stay on the dose I'm on but that would mean that I'd have to stop taking test completely for a few weeks to drop it enough... wouldn't I? I don't want to lose all the mass I've gained in these last 6 months and I don't want all this to have been for naught. Could someone please advise me on how to proceed and at what dose I'd need to be at to show low to normal? I'm off the deca now and I've taken the test down to 250mg per week for the last week now. I'm worried about losing muscle and strength and ultimately my prescription for testosterone... any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

All the advice you have gotten sounds pretty good. I would think 6 weeks you should be good if you drop down to your TRT dose immediately and immediately stop all the extras. Might even take the first week completely off of any injections as you have plenty of extra Test in your system that you are not going to tank and then on second week resume at TRT dose. I have read on here about many TRT guys blasting right after blood test when they know they have 6 months until next test. Those last 6-8 weeks have to be used to get bloods back in line. Good luck.
Thanks for your reply. I'm amazed so many people responded and so quickly. The one thing I'm worried about is if I stop test for a week like you say and start up the next week on my trt dose, how much muscle am I going to lose? It's taken me 6 months to get where I am now and I'm going to lose most of it in the next month and a half? What about orals like dbol... can I have test at trt dose and supplement with dbol until just a week or so before bloodwork and still show up normal? Don't orals leave your system really quickly?
With the amount of Test you have in your system right now from cycling, my opinion is one week totally off is not going to make you lose muscle, just help you lower your blood level. My personal opinion is stop all extras, orals, extra test, all of it until you get blood test done. Otherwise you risk losing your script and probably will be looking for a new doctor if he doesn't like what you are doing. Keep up the hard work in the gym and keep your diet on point. Can't stay on cycle forever and remember the rule of time on cycle should equal time off cycle.
I appreciate you taking the time to school me. I need all the help I can get. I'll take your advice which seems to be the majority opinion. I'll cut the deca completely and start up with the docs trt dose next week. I've been on high dose test for the last 6 months so its definitely going to feel weird being on such a tiny amount. What should I expect? Did it cause you any depression or effect you negatively? And I know that there's so many health concerns with staying on high dose test for a long time, but why can't you stay on for like a year at a time? Or the rest of your life? And another thing I need to know, what is a good cruising dose? Doc has me on 80 mg/ wk and there's no way I'll accept that level... Is 150-200 mg/wk good?
There is no depression because you aren't crashing your levels you are just going to a normal testosterone level. Depression hits when your levels plummet below 200 and you slowly get back online. Cruising dose is considered your TRT dose of 80mg a week. You don't get to cruise at 250mg a week unless your a competitor because it is retarded to do so otherwise. Your whole cardiovascular system takes a hit when you stay above normal ranges for long periods of time. I bet your blood is really thick
You'll have to work with your doc to dial in the right dose of Test to cruise on, that is doctor and blood tests. My doctor and I found 200 mg Test C per week keeps me in the right area. The doctor will only prescribe what keeps you in the middle to high middle.
That number seems to be the magic number... 200 mg/wk is what i see most people cruising at. The problem is that my endo won't up my dose. I've been on 80 mg/wk for the last year and a half. I've asked him about it and about checking my estrogen levels but he said there's no reason to... I wonder if he knows what he's doing...
Go get a blood test to see what your test levels the Doctor be able to see your deca level. Once you know your test level you'll be able to calculate how much time you need to drop it do the right ranges your Doctor wants you to be at. I'll send you a friend request to help you get on track test level checked. I ran 250mg test with bold and kept 13lbs of muscle. You won't waste away if you let it drop to your normal level and then resume you try dose. You'll have to keep eating and reduces your time in the gym and limit yourself to EOD workouts to keep the mass, but you won't become a stick overnight. It's easy if you work hard. How many weeks until your appointment? Maybe you can donate blood and drop your test about 10%.
Thank you for replying. I hear there's a lab you can use online that you pay like $50 and then they send it to a lab near you where you can get the blood drawn... My appointment is on Dec. 9th to see the endo. How quickly does test drop? Can I not take my shot for a week and resume test at like 80 mg per week afterwards? Giving blood drops your test levels?
You have six weeks to get things in order, that should be adequate time. http://www.privatemdlabs.com/lp/body-builder-testing.php you want the female panel, but you'll need the lc/ms level for a total and I'm not sure what is the most cost effective test for that, maybe one of the other members can chime in, I just dilute mine at work to get the result. The other tops out at 1500 and based on your size your probably hitting 3500 or so. Cyp has a half life of ~8 days, you have 42 I believe. If you wait three weeks I think you'll be at 450-500 level then you can resume normal try schedule. On my last shot of my cycle my test was 2250, 1 week late it was 1400, another week and it was 700, the third week post shot was 350 and I started pct, something you need not worry yourself with. Based on your size you might drop your test about 3-5% with a blood donation. Have you been keeping track of your hemoglobin and donating regularly to stay in range?
Thanks for the link. I knew it was out there somewhere. You think my levels were at 3500?? That's crazy high!! That worries me now. No, man, I had no idea about donating blood and I wasn't keeping track of any of that stuff... my regular doctor ran a blood test but was only concerned with my cholesterol levels and my blood pressure which went back up from the cycle. And she said something about lipids... she thought my liver or kidneys were off a bit, which looking back, I'm sure they were/ are. I didn't have, I don't have anyone to educate me on this stuff... I just read a lot online and obviously I didn't read very well cause I didn't keep up on any levels... Will I be ok? Did I do any irreversible damage to myself maybe? I'm kinda have breathing issues right now and my cpap machine isn't working for me because they said I'm exceeding the pressure which the machine is capable of. The breathing problems started when I started tbol a few weeks ago cause I was gonna end the cycle on tbol but had to stop after a weeks and a half cause I couldnt sleep anymore due to worsening of my sleep apnea. I think I might have messed up pretty bad this time... tell me I didn't do something that a lot of noob idiots haven't done before! Where can I go from this right now? Should I stop everything abruptly and not go ahead with my normal shot on monday? I was gonna take 150 mg test and 100 mg deca as I was titrating off.... And btw, thank you very much for your help and advice!
Welcome to Eriods and Semper Fi brother, 0311
Definitely drop down to your normal dose. Next time run short esters like test prop and npp because Deca is in your system for a while. What's your bf%?
I don't know my bf% bro... I know that it has changed significantly in the last 6 months. If I had to wager a guess, I'd say maybe 16-18%. It was over 29% a year ago and I've been on juice the last 6 months and lifting weights and doing cardio. I know I shouldn't have started juice with such a high bf% but I needed something to give me a kick start to losing weight and gaining muscle which aids in weight loss and metabolism. I might not have gone about it the right way but I'm really happy with the results and I'm in better shape than I've been in my entire life. Could you send me a friend request? I don't know how to send you one...
GnarkillRifleman thank you for your contribution/service and keeping me, my wife and my kids safe +2 to you brother
Semperfi. 0311 as well. That was many, many years ago...
I get the test cyp for free thats why I run it. I have a stock of test E just in case something happens with the script. So will Deca keep my test levels high for a long time after I stop with it? I'm titrating off it right now.. I didn't want to stop all at once.
Stop now and resume your normal dose. Call and reschedule (December holiday plans) for January. Been in this position many times. It sucks.
Resume the 80 mg per week? Wouldn't it still add to what I've been taking in the weeks prior? Did you ever get found out?
Yes, your regular dose. There is no reason to just crash your levels. That is the benefit of TRT, we never just have our levels tank. Push that appointment back to be safe. It's December and totally excusable. I have had a urologist drop me before for blood work that made no sense and high test.
It's gonna be hard to reschedule because he is already booked 4 months out and they moved me already from Nov. to Dec... then they'd have to write a script for 4 more months without having seen me in damn near a year. I can try it though. I made sure to stock up on test E anyway just in case he drops me or drops my doseage. He gives me a 10 ml bottle every month and has me "throw away" over 7 ml... No way in hell I'd throw that away! I've been using the whole bottle for 6 months now. I wonder... is that common to prescribe a 10 ml bottle to someone who is only prescribed 80 mg (0.4 ml) per week?
I get 10ml vials through my mail order option. If I show up to the pharmacy in person I don't.
