Acne

ad

Growing up I've always had acne since I was about 15. I've seen some really bad pictures of people who got it from using AAS. Since I'm already predisposed to the skin condition, it's obvious when I start my first cycle this coming Monday I'm going to develop even more or maybe more sever acne. Is there some medication I can run along with my cycle to combat the problem. My buddy said my AI should help with some of it, but I don't think the AI has anything to do with it... I read about showering twice a day, clean clothes and tanning, but there has to be a magic pill some where out there... Please Help. I mean whats the point of getting a bigger and more muscular body if I can't take my shirt off.

Something that has worked best for me is Ziana, which is a clindamyacin and tretinion (retin A) gel mixture. I am not very prone to acne, but my last cycle I got acne on my shoulders, chest and upper back. I tried just about every gel and cream to get rid of it, but it just wouldn't completely go away. I found a sample of the Ziana gel and within a week, my acne started to improve. By week three, almost all of it was gone. Along with showering twice a day and using shower scrub, this worked for me and showed real results. I now have a tube of Ziana all the time.

We have been using a company called platinum labz acne annihilator for the last few years. They sent us some samples and they worked amazingly well. It really is a great affordable product that does as advertised.

If you decide to go with Accutane there is the classic protocol 40mg-80mg a day to rid yourself of all acne permanently. Total dosage over n-number of week is dependent on your bodyweight. So how long you will have to take it depends on your weight.

But, there has been a recently publication on 20mg ED for 6 months being effective in clearing moderate acne in 94.8% of cases.

I know of a few sources on here that sell it at pretty reasonable prices, but if you have insurance go name brand so you can sue them if it screws you up, talk to a dermatologist, and mention that new study. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16546586

What about Accutane I know it can be harsh but heard it can work very well

I recommend you drink plenty of water and supplement with Vitamin A 8000IU. Do plenty of cardio as well to get those pores opening.

x2 And now they have a Proactiv mimic product at Walmart... Their generic "Equate" brand. I use it right now. It is cheaper than Proactiv, picked up right off the shelf at Walmart, and basically the same exact thing. I have used both long enough to judge and this stuff works just as well for me.

This is what it looks like: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/516L%2BlsHwVL.SX300.jpg

The AI has a lot to do with it. A matter of keeping your hormones in a good balance will help a ton with acne. Of course, on superphysiologic doses of testosterone, your skin will be significantly more oily than it is naturally. That is where the showering twice daily, among other things, comes into play. I am also predisposed to some pretty fucking awful acne issues. I suggest tanning twice a week to dry out what acne you do have developing (but no more to avoid OVER-drying the skin), showering twice daily to make sure you are not letting the oils simply sit/let the dead skin cells clog your pores/etc, and moisturizing after your PM shower/before bed. There are also some supplements you can take. Zinc and B-5 (Pantothenic Acid) in large doses are well-known for their acne-fighting properties... And they are also cheap as fuck right over the counter. Keep your bed sheets washed regularly... And, of course, your clothes. I even sleep with a shirt on because I tend to sweat a bit and that helps me not to load my sheets with sweat (yeah, gross, I know) too quickly. If worse comes to worst, use an everyday typical antibiotic (I have used Keflex [cephalexin] with GREAT success... And that's not even one commonly prescribed for acne) before resorting to Accutane. A lot of people will tell you to go the Accutane route, but that should absolutely be your very, very last resort... Too many health concerns. There is plenty more info if you care to do a search and just read around. Tons of us share this problem, bro. Anyway, I hope this helps. Good luck.
