-1 What's your preferred gauge?
ad
Personally I go for 23's for the brand of test that I use only because I bought another pin that took a good 5 minutes to draw 1 cc. The pip can be freaking terrible though.
Any recommended gauges? I hear slin pins go smooth as butter.

Yea I think it’s the pressure per surface area that helps the thinner the barrel is. Just a guess but I have noticed a difference.
Then again, it could also just be perception. If the same amount of oil is coming out of each barrel at the same speed but one is a wider barrel, it’s going to look & feel like the plunger is harder to push and is moving slower.
The only reason I use 1cc syringes the majority of the time is because I like to keep volume low. I’d rather pin ed or eod than go over 1ml. I don’t think I’ve ever pinned more than 1.7ml at once. And it prolly only happened one or two times.
It is called fluid mechanics,.......... area of the plunger x force.
Write up is at the bottom of the page.
Nice. thanks!
It's going to depend on the diameter of the syringe (among others things).
Btw, pulling with an 18ga is like shooting the stopper with a 9mm.
lol yea 18g takes a tole on vial stoppers.
That is one of the reasons I prefer amps when ever possible, that and amps seem more antiseptic for sure.
JayD718I really like amps as well. I think they're really good if you have to store them for a while before using them. Being that they're 100% sealed air tight! What about the tiny particles of glass that have to fall into the juice? Does that concern you at all?
A little bro, but I have gotten good at breaking my amps clean over the years.
A few times though on bad breaks I take a piece of cotton and place it in the amp and draw through it.
I can't imagine that cotten is very sterile.
Say it isn't so. The guy is an internet nurse,....... he must know what he is doing.
(Sarcasm)
False sense of security.
.
25 for glutes
27 for everywhere else
Scar tissue kept at a minimum.
Wham-mothafuckin-O
JayD718I like to stick with the old school 22gauge, 1 and 1/2" syringe for glutes, and 22gauge, 1" for deltoids! Also, I do switch the needle with a fresh one after drawing the juice, whenever possible. Those are the only places I'll inject. However, I do try and stick with injecting in glutes only, since it's a large muscle, and large muscles are the optimal site for injecting oily solutions! I'm not really concerned about scar tissue on my ass. I guess 23gauge pins could be appropriate in some situations, depending on the oil. But, in my experience, trying to make an injection with some thin needle will have you moving the pin all around inside your body, and even possibly pushing the needle down even more, while trying to push down the plunger as hard as you can. Doesn't make sense to me!
22g 40mm for both drawing and injecting, i have a phatass :(
23g 1"
25g 1.5" for glutes and 25g 1" for elsewhere.
Love the B-D brand,,by far the sharpest and smoothest.
18 gauge to draw and 23 ga x 1" to inject. Planning on trying 25's next time though, an extra few seconds to plunge doesn't sound like a bad trade. Also, after plunger stops I hold for a slow 10 count before withdrawal.
I like 25's for upper body (delts and pecs) and 23's for lower body (gluten and quads). Always a 23 to draw though.
I'm gonna use a 25 to pin my delt tomorrow, be the first time doing it myself, been doing quads but want to start spreading it out. A little nervous about the delts, no afraid to admit it, lol. Pecs on the other hand, the though of that terrifies me, though it seems easy like quads are easy, can see what you're doing anyway. I could do glutes, doesn't make me nervous, just gonna sack up and get delts done get it outta the way. Not even gonna think about Pecs for a while, lol.
It took me a long time to work up to pecs. Needless don't bother me at all though as I have made my profession in the Healthcare industry and see them literally every day (I am not a practitioner, I work on the business side). Delts aren't as bad as they seem, just pin towards the back and not dead center.
If you haven't found this site or one similar it is an excellent reference

18ga to draw ???
The stopper must look like a target shot up by a 45.
LOL. Nah, more like a 9mm. It's for TRT, I get single use vials, one and done, so not an issue I reckon in that case. Besides, that's what the pharm gives me. Every month I get two single serving vials, two 23x1 3 cc sterile pack and two 18ga needles.
Out of curiousity, if it were a multiple draw vial, what would you go with, a 20 or 22, perhaps?
I've been doing 200 mg biweekly, but thinking of switching to 100 weekly, so would need to pin each glass twice in that case. Doc left frequency up to me but recommended biweekly - less pinning....
22 is good.
Weekly is good also.
Thanks for the info. Next injection will be 100mg. I ran the dosages through the roid calculator and 100 weekly just seemed more stable. 200 biweekly a rollercoaster...
25 ga 5/8 inch
22 gauge to draw and 25 gauge(gso) 27 gauge(mig or mct) to inject. I heat my gear with a cheap candle warmer from walmart before drawing it up, the warm oil goes through the 25 gauge pretty smooth.
22 always for me. Length depending on where I'm going but usually 1 1/2.. Even with thinner oils... 22 is sturdy, not bendy at all when you hit solid areas (like 23 can be at 1 1/2) but not a 20 or 21 where you may need a rag to clean up the mess after! Lol
I got these damn 28g x1 5ml pins to try out and I’m not a fan at all. Takes forever to push and a lot of force it’s a big pain in the ass literally.
It is a hydraulics issue, ie: fluid mechanics.
If the area of the plunger (piston) is larger then more force must be applied to the rod to achieve the same fluid pressure at the orifice.
Or
A larger orifice (needle) could be used to reduce fluid pressure needed.
As I said "fluid mechanics"
ETA: A real world example (on a larger scale).
You have a 2 inch diameter hydraulics cylinder and a 4 inch diameter hydraulic cylinder both have the same stroke length, and a 300 psi relief valve.
The force on the rod of the 2 inch cylinder to overcome the 300psi relief valve would be 942.48 pounds.
The force on the rod of the 4 inch cylinder to overcome the same 300psi relief valve would be 3,769.92 pounds.
The formula is simple pi r squared or 3.1416 times the square of the radius times the 300psi to overcome the valve.
3.1416 x r x r x 300 =
Ahh very interesting info - Kept wondering why these new 5ml plungers are a bitch to push compared to the 2.5ml ones even with the same oils in! +
27 x 1 works great for me on TRT. BTW I draw and inject with it. I buy Allergy syringes, comes all in one piece. I pump the excess air right back into the bottle so nothing is lost.
prest90423 works pretty well for me. Anything lower and I feel like I'm pinning with a sword and higher like a 25 has me sitting there waiting for all the gear to go in for a while.
I pin with 25g I.5" ..nipro is my go to. They're smooth as silk imo. Draw with 22g. I don't rush my pinning process..slow and steady. I've seen guys pin with 18g before. 3ml and 5 seconds later.. Done. Seems like the barrels are finicky with turemo. Seem as tho they're hard to push sometimes...Pins are good tho.
I like 23g 1.5" Also when pinning 2x a week or more . Just rotate spots and it works for me
23gx1.5” is what I like using when using 2 times a week.
I use 22g for 5 pins a week. I can't stand sitting there waiting for almost a gram of gear to fit through a 25g. Used 21s but It's honestly a fucking whale harpoon and scar tissue builds up.
I think HO is the most popular,.......... but I'm not a fan.
12 gauge. Very versatile. It's the shells that make the difference.
Merces33letiferI'd like an AA12 with dragons breath please.
25-29g with ed injections. 2 x per wk/larger dosages I'll go 22-23g. I'll use 18g for suspension to get it all out.
I like to use 18g for injection, can't stand how long it takes with 25's
You want a quick draw try these bad boys out
https://www.shopmedvet.com/product/mini-spike-5-pk
You stick it in the vial and draw from the hole on top?? I've never seen these.
Go easy inserting it into the vial .. theres a cap not pictured you luer lock on it for sterility.
So basically you take the cap off swab it screw your syringe (the hole in the top is luer lock) right on and it draws out instantly.
No draw needle required they dont recommend you reuse the spike but you can its sitting in sterile oil anyways.
I got some here haha
Ah gotcha I was trying to joke that I pin with an 18g but I'm not good at the joking thing:(
A lot of my gear is made with mig or has EO in it;) draws so fast when warmed up and pins so smooth.
oh haha i thought that was a typo
I use 18s to draw and I keep 1 inch and half 25's and 23's to pin. Always use a different pin to draw from a multi-dose vial then pin. I use 25's more often than not but if I'm using a blended or high dosage compound I use the 23's to help pass the thicker oil. If you are having problems with pip, you can always warm your oil prior to pinning. You can also find localized numbing cream if you dread the actual injections. And also speaking of pip, some people have terrible pip reactions to compounds with the prop ester. Some even have adverse reactions to the cyp ester as well due to the solvents used. So it is best to find compounds that work best for your body. Hope this helps
Good Luck
I draw with a 20 gauge 1.5 needle and pin with a 23 gauge 1.25 needle never had any issues. Aslong as your pinning technique is good you'll be fine
Usually you get a larger gauge to draw such as a 20 g and a smaller gauge to pin 23, 25, or 27g. Pinning with the same needle you draw with can add to pip and create more scar tissue.
Slin pin is good for ed pinning with a 29g but with no way to change the tip you just make due
