Personally I go for 23's for the brand of test that I use only because I bought another pin that took a good 5 minutes to draw 1 cc. The pip can be freaking terrible though.
Any recommended gauges? I hear slin pins go smooth as butter.

18 to draw, 30 to inject. Heat it up to make it smooth and painless.
I pin with 1” 25g and usually draw with whatever comes with the syringes. Most of the time it’s 20g I believe.
18 to draw 25 to pin for TRT. 29/30 pin for HCG
definitely 23. I used 25 for a while because I thought it would reduce PIP, but it didnt, and just took a million years to load

I pin with 1" 25g. Typically draw with a 21g. Like most I buy my syringes with draw needle attached. Funny story, my boss wanted to get started on a test cycle last month, I help him out explain the basics and point him towards the right searches. Get him his pins, I even sent a text to remind him to switch the needles. He comes to work the next day and explains how he didn't see my text till after he shoved the draw needle in his ass. Ill never let him live that one down
I draw with a 20G. I swap the needle and pin with a 25G 1" for quads. If I am pinning a smaller muscle, I will backload a 28G 5/8" slin pin.
I thin my oil with a heating pad once drawn, so base oil type doesn't seem to make much of a difference for me. 25G and 28G work just fine :).
IMO, the smallest possible needle with the smallest amount of time in the muscle is the best bet for as little scar tissue buildup as possible.
I use 18 to draw and either 23/25 1-1.5 to inject.
I even experimented with drawing with 18 and transferred to 29g .75 insulin ones to site inject. Actually pretty smooth that way.
AnonThey're both 100% right. 18 takes away all worries and bullshit (i do it), but if not using a non-coring needles (which none of us do, that rubber gets sketchy near the end. Aseptic technique is akways (hopefully) your saving grace.
Alphamale500There's no need to draw with an 18g pin. There really isn't. When you stick that thick 18g pin through the stopper of your vial, it's very possible to break off a tiny piece or pieces, and have it fall into your gear. First of all, those pieces can bring bacteria in with them. Or from those pieces sitting in your vial of gear with the solvents, they can slowly dissolve and go into your gear. You ever hear people say to always keep your vials standing upwards? That's because depending on the solvents or type of stoppers used, the solvents can dissolve part of your stopper! Do you really wanna inject liquefied rubber into your body? (or whatever your stopper happens to be made of, because I'm sure these UGL's always buy the best quality products!) What if you accidentally hit a vein?
And for the least of your worries, when you keep on stabbing that stopper with a huge 18g pin, or even once, you can make even a slight hole/opening that can allow bacteria to get in your vial! So after hearing all that, does it really seem beneficial to use an 18g pin to draw your gear?
Sorry for bringing this thread back up... so I actually looked at my draw needle and it's a 21g. Not sure if that's any better though. I flush it with alchohol after every use as well.
Alphamale500Bro, just use everything brand new every time you inject! New syringe and new needle each time. New syringes and new needles are so cheap. But more importantly, you want everything you're using to be completely sterile!
What are you a junky? A 100 ct box of needles costs less than $20

Lol... just the draw needle. I have boxes of 3cc 23g & 25g. I just reuse the draw needle so my pin needle stays sharp. I guess I could by a box or two of the draw needles but as usual never thought of that, and your right just needles are about $5. I can say out of 5 years since I started this I have never had an infection or messed up injection.
Alphamale500Even still, I would throw out your draw needle after using it. And after screwing on a brand new needle, you should throw out that syringe and needle as well. It's better to be safe than sorry right?
So, take a brand new syringe(barrel with plunger) with brand new draw needle on it, draw your injection, unscrew your draw needle and toss it out, screw on a brand new injection needle, inject and then toss out the syringe and needle! Sound good? And of course don't forget to clean the top of your vial with rubbing alcohol before sticking your needle into it, even if you're gonna toss that draw needle anyway! And don't forget to clean your injection site on your body with rubbing alcohol as well. Easy enough right?
jayiskeach time you stick the draw needle in the bottle it dulls the needle. a duller needle could end up poking small holes in the rubber stopper on the bottle over time.
Got it... lesson learned. Threw it away and ordered a couple boxes of draw needles.

but considering needles and plungers are so easy to get and cheap.., why take the chance.
now every inject its a new draw and pin needle, and a new plunger.

Do you guys not have a needle exchange in the U.S like we do in the U.K? You go in and register completely anonymously as either a gear user or junkie Lol Then you get barrels (including Slin), all sizes of needles, swabs, bins, BAC water for Free. All they ask you do is take back your old ones in the bins in return for new ones. Saves a tonne of money if you pin a lot.

If you don't have the resources, or self worth, to pay the extremely modest cost for syringes and needles, perhaps you shouldn't be using AAS.

That's a very well said, true statement Greg! And idk if it's just me, but there's no way you would catch me walking into my neighborhood pharmacy(or wherever), with a bag of used needles asking if I could exchange them for some new free ones!! Lol! I don't care how much they cost! Maybe it's just class, self worth or having too much pride, but FUCK THAT!! No way you would see me on that line, or anywhere near it!! And insulin syringes also, that cost like 12 cents each when you buy a box! Alcohol swabs too! C'mon. Smh. You have to have some pride man. Or Greg said it best with self worth!
I buy all my own barrels and needles, hence my comment the other day about using BD gear now over Terumo. I was just trying to help out the guy who reuses his pin for drawing compounds by washing it with alcohol each time - better than him getting an infection if he is insistent on using compounds.

This is the benefit of this site... after hearing that, it makes me wonder. In 5+ years of injecting multiple times a day sometimes (prop, ace, suspension ect) this hasn't ever came up. Hell I learned this from guys on here so again it's great to get more information from people's experiences. Education is priceless, thank you.

Alphamale500Imo, it really depends on the solution you're injecting, and what solvents are in it. Some oils will flow easily through a 23g, while other oils will give you a problem. I used to prefer the lower gauge pins, but I think as most of us do, my preference has changed with time and experience. I only pin glutes and delts. These days for glutes I really prefer a 23g, 1.5" pin, and for delts I prefer a 25g, 1.25" pin.
I do have some scarring from many, many deltoid injections with those 22g cannon pins that were the norm many years ago. And I've also had some bad bouts of AAS induced ance in the same areas of my delts which makes it twice as bad!

Draw with a 20g or 23g, pin MCT oils with 27g Nipro Ultra Thin Wall or BD PrecisionGlide both 1 1/4" and recently got a box of 100 - 25g 1.5” and they are really the best

I always swap tips for withdraw , I like using 23g 1 1/2 . Does not take long to push and sizes lets me pin in more places .
Iuse a larger gauge to extract like an 18g. Then I wouldn't use anything smaller the a 25. It seems to take way to long otherwise and is just annoying.
When I was a noob I used to extract it and pin with the same 28g needle. That shit would take several minutes to get 1cc out.
21 gauge to draw and 30 gauge 1/2 inch for jab into quads with a 1ml syringe.
Only done one cycle so this is all ive used but worked and very little to no discomfort, except for the first few times when my quads felt like they had been kicked by a donkey for a day or three after.
I am sorry but in my experience there is no way your pushing oils through a 30g, I have a hard enough time getting through a 25g.
I pull with an 18g and push with a 23g or 22g.
MCT, Mygliol, EO. All 3 can flow through a 30. You may need to heat it up a little bit if it’s MCT, but it’ll push.
I draw with a 23 or 25 and push with a 25 in the glutes, 28g slin in delts and 27g everywhere else. I’ve also drawn with a 28G slin. Thin oil is where it’s at.
I also use 1cc syringes almost exclusively. I rarely use a 3cc, but I have found it’s a little harder to push. Still goes tho.
JayD71830 gauge, really? I guess I can see EO going through a 30 gauge, or Miglyol, but that must be a major pain in the ass, no? No pun intended. I like old school 22's, or maybe 23's for delts if it's EO or Miglyol. But, I don't really ever take a shot anywhere except my glutes, which is why I'm not too concerned with scar tissue. Seriously, how long does it even take you to push 1cc through a 30??
I push a cc of MCT through a 28G slin pin in 50-60 seconds. I could do it faster but I read it's best to do a CC a minute so I try to pace it that way. I've only used a 30G with MCT when I ran out of 28's and I had some 30's for growth laying around, and it wasn't much harder. I heated the oil in a heating pad for 10 mins and it wasn't that big a deal.
I like thin oil because I like thing gauges. I like thin gauges because I like keeping scar tissue to a minimum. I've never gone over 27G for delts. Even when I had a lab with apricot oil. I just heated it up and it went a little slower, but I still made it work without much of a hassle.
JayD718Really, even with that type of oil, and you had no problem going through a 27gauge? Are you really that concerned about scar tissue? I guess I am, but only delts. But even on my delts, with all of the 22's that I injected there, you still can't really notice much. I do see some scars on my delts, but I don't really remember if that's from pinning, or the couple of bouts of serious acne that I got from running foolish cycles when I was younger. But my glutes, after all the 22's I pinned there, I can't notice anything.
I totally get if you want to use the highest gauge possible to limit scar tissue, or any other related sides. But to me, I think you only really need to worry about scar tissue if you compete.
Anyway, I like pinning with my 22's and sometimes 23's. The shot goes in at a nice rate, and you don't have to push down so hard that you're moving the pin around in your body. And, I think it's better to get the pin in, inject your shot, and get the pin right back out. Instead of it possibly moving around and causing damage.
The scar tissue is internal damage. Nothing that you will see on the outside. Once the scar tissue builds up you will have a hell of a time to get the muscle to accept oil. It just won't go in. Need to do whatever you can to prevent it. Absolutely no reason to be using a 22g. You may not be noticing it now but in the long run it can bite you if you don't take measures now to prevent/reduce it.
Good to know , I have been using 3cc for sometime. Never realized it made such a difference to use 1cc syringes. Yea I always give my oils some friction heat, just role it in between your hands or hold it under your arm learned that bit in med classes, works like a charm.
