Pinning gear with Insulin Needles

ad

So due to my lack of awareness, I bought a box of 29g insulin needles at 1/2 inch instead of the 31g 8mm needles I had asked for to pin my peptides. I was shocked when I saw those giant needles (in comparison to normal slin pins lol) but one day I had to pin test and my order of 25 g pins hadn't come in yet. So I figured what the heck and tried it out of the 29g slin pin. Not sure if it would push through or not, I was pleasantly surprised that it flowed through quite easily. I pinned my shoulder because I knew 1/2 inch would be too short for glutes or quads, and it may be a little short for shoulders as well, but it pinned perfectly. I had no pip. I've been cycling through using those pins on and off now for a while and really have liked it primarily because of convenience as where i live you can get slin pins over the counter but not bigger needles. The way I prep it is using a normal pin and syringe to pull the oil and then pull out slin pin plunger and just inject it in.

Anyone else have experience with this? As I said, its not something I do all the time, it's more just about knowing if I ever run out of pins I know I can rely on those. Is there any problems with this method i should know about? Always want to learn if theres something I should or shouldn't be doing!

I love insulin needles, but every now and then they don't go deep enough and you risk getting lumps. I like them because they are small and I also like them because the deadspace in them is very little.

They sell 30g 1inch Luer Lock needles, but they require an incredible amount of patience to inject. You can pre-load with 18g-23g then swap with the 30g 1inch before injecting. The one thing I haven't figured out yet is how to calculate the correct amount of dead space when using 30g because the pressure you have to use compresses the air greatly.

Seems reasonable to bump. I find that using slin pins for TRT/cruise dosages, or single short ester dosages is better, because you get 100% of the oil, as opposed to some percentage less than that with a hypodermic. MPMD did a video on this, which I agree with, where he pointed out that when we do our TRT, we are injecting roughly 100mgs twices a week, so if we do that, but 1/10th of a ml gets stuck in the syringe, then we are getting 75 per dose. so then instead of 200 per week, we are getting 150. Big diff. This wouldn't matter much with 3ml shots of multiple well mixed compounds, because it would be a fraction of a 10th of a ml of each one, but for trt/cruising it would be a significant impact.

I just got some 29g 3/4 in and use them to pin upper chest or bicep/triceps and they work amazing. I use them when I have to pin ed like tren a or test p. I do use a 23/25g to draw and transfer into the 29. I try to stretch the skin a bit but occasionally still get a drip leaking out, but nothing crazy.

Yep works great out of a 29ga slin pin. Usually where you'll run into issues is with a larger diameter bore (such as a 3cc syringe), there's no way you'll be able to get a shots worth of gear out of it with a 29ga needle. But the thinner bore of a slin pin with a 29ga? No problem at all, I do it all the time.

I actually prefer 27ga overall for slin pins though.

Have you had any leaking as mentioned below? If it works for you stay with it . If there are leaking issues try a deeper pin.

I've been doing it for quite a while as I stay pretty lean. I pin delts and ventroglutes with 27 and 28 gauge by 3/4". I've used 1/2" before but noticed a little oil comes out of the wound channel post injection so I switched to 3/4" to get deeper in the muscle so that no longer happens.

I have the same issue with 1/2" pin. I notice a little oil leaks out when I pull the needle out. I have tried keeping the needle in for awhile after pinning but nothing seems to really work. 1" needle and I don't have that problem. I am usually injecting around 1cc which isn't much. Maybe it won't leak if injecting less oil but 1cc isn't all that much anyway so don't really see the point in trying to inject less anyway. It does feel nice slipping a 27 or 29g into the delt but that leaking bothers me. I can't find any 3/4" needles. 5/8" is the closest and I still have a little leaking from that.

You should give that method I shared with herpjunkie a try and see what results you get....

This is why I favor high mg compounds and blends for slin pins. Tren Ace 200, npp 400, mast prop 200 and so on. Half a cc is about as much as I’m comfortable shooting with the shorties. Anything more and I’ll do a 1”.

Same here, tried waiting 15 seconds before pulling out and pulling out very slowly hoping the wound channel would close but nothing worked until I went deeper. The 3/4" are hard to find but I get the online when they're in stock and buy a few hundred at a time.

So call me crazy, but I had the same issue and found what has 'worked for me' to stop that. After I inject and hold it for a little to try and let the oil spread, I then draw back to around 20 ius and just pull it out like that. For some reason that has continued to work with me to stop leakage

I do it all the time. If you’re lean you can get away with slin needles. I typically use slin needles for shoulders and I’ll pin upper chest with TNE and such with slin needles.
