Braun's cleared of using PED's

ad

Ryan Braun tested positive for exogenous (from outside the body) testosterone back in november. He was suspended 50 games. He appealed and won his appeal. This is the first time a player has appealed and won. It was a technicality. The sample did not reach the lab in a timely manner and the chain of command was broken. The sample apparantly passed through too many hands on its way to the lab. Does this mean that he wasn't juicin'? I dont think so? What do you guys think? Now theres an exposed flaw in the testing system, what does it mean for P.E.D's in baseball?

Honestly with what the majority of the public demand of pro athletes today, let them juice. It certainly provides entertainment value.

I've got two different lines of thought on this. As a Giants and Barry Bonds fan I hate that he was basically crucified and his legacy tainted for life. So when I see other players slide under the court of public appeal and not be made to be polarizing figures as was Barry I get pissed off! I am not a fan of making examples out of people and felt that is what happened to Barry.
On another level I believe in the rule of law and believe in due process. As in the legal system outside of baseball if u hold folks to a certain standard then the standards for the law must also be met by prosecutors. In this case MLB has had plenty of time to be accustomed to their testing policies and should know their exact protocols and carry them out as such. In this case they did not and since there was certain violations on MLBs end. So I'm all good with seeing Braun get away with it. Was he cheating? I don't know, do I care? Not really all I know is as a ex hooligan it's always nice to see the Establishment get fucked once in a while:-)

I agree. MLB is not happy, lol. But hey, they allowed a third part to decide without prejudice. Justice is done imo.
As for Barry Bonds, Listen, if 75% of the league was juiced during that era and guys like Bonds, Clemens, Mcguire were still head and shoulders above the rest, well it speaks for itself. HOF numbers before AAS accusations

He retested within 48 hours and tested negative also, so its hard to say what the problem was, either way all of those big basturds are on something if i had a contract until 2020 for 145 million i might just grab the prop and work with short ester gear during the off season.
