+ 1 Loose skin & SubQ Fat

ad

I am well aware I still have some subcutaneous fat, but I feel like it's just sagging with excess skin and making it look horrible. I've been so self conscious about it my whole life - or most of it.

I've put on a fairly good amount of muscle, and I definitely have some fat to trim. The machine I use to give me measurements put me a tick above 24% bf. Down from 34% last year.

Anyway, here's what I'm dealing with. There's a good amount of subq fat I believe, but even when that goes away, I feel like the skin is just going to sag.... And it sucks.

For what it's worth, I have stretch marks all over my body from getting so fat so quickly as a kid. Long story... Anyway, it'd only been a year, and I think things will get better in another year. I've made a lot of progress.

I’ve been there but I came down from 52% down to single digits from the ages of 17 to 22. My skin actually tightened by gaining lean body mass but no matter how low in BF I get, my skin in my lower stomach will be a little loose except for when I ran GH sub10%.. The issue is at your age I think the only really solution would be to consider plastic surgery. I would continue the fat loss and try to get within 15/17% but aLso build as much muscle as you can and assess your physique from there. Take your time, this is a life time transformation that will take years but enjoy every step of the process because not many are able to achieve what you already have

Thank you for your comment. That was one solution I had in mind: maybe if I build a shit ton of muscle, it'll fill in the skin.

GH has recently been moved to my radar, but I don't think I want to dive into that - at least until I get my bf lower.

Think that’s the right path fella. Drop the BF a bit lower before that’s a “worth a try” solution.

And also the lowering of bf requires time. Time can be described like the magical thing that constantly evades us. The time to get to my bf goals might help the skin adjust.

And to even add to this, posting on this site has helped my confidence a lot! I feel like when it comes down to it we are all trying to help each other accomplish our goals, safely. And I love it.

Thanks. Yes, I'm not in a hurry to just start taking a bunch of crazy shit. Testosterone and anavar have proven far loss abilities which is why I take those - and the results speak for themselves. It's also only been one year. People in their bodybuilding careers spend years getting their physique. So I think I'm just going to try not to let it get to me, keep doing what I've been doing, with some tweaks to my workouts recommended by some others here, and go from there.

Important to keep that positive attitude, you’ve made massive improvements already. And you’re right about the time, 35 years ago now nearly when I first started packing up weights, 25 years of doing it seriously. And you know most of what I still see is the faults….. It’s not a sprint, and you’ve done well.

With loose skin like that I'm not sure traditional fat measurements are going to be accurate in the first place, but I don't know what machine you're referring to. If the skin has been sagging like that for years without shrinking back on its own then realistically surgery is probably the most effective option to remove it. You could try something less invasive/expensive like coolsculpting or radiofrequency skin tightening but that'll take multiple treatments. Other than that maybe try collagen supplements, skin tightening cream with retinol, make sure to stay hydrated all day, and at the same time put on as much muscle as you can to fill the skin back out but in a good way. At the end of the day don't worry too much about it, we're all hypersensitive to our own body issues while other people tend not to care nearly as much.
