Recent Favorite Breakfast

ad

Just wanted to share my breakfast that I have been loving every day for the last several weeks. As I have recently started my offseason, I do my best to ensure that 90% of my caloric intake comes from clean food sources.

-Egg Whites: 2 cups
-Oats: 120g
-Strawberries & Blueberries: 3oz each
-Blue Agave Syrup: 1Tbsp
-Avocado: 4oz (1 whole avocado)

Comes out to just over 1,000 calories.
Carbs: 123
Fats: 26
Protein: 71
Total Cost ~ $4

Would love to hear some other favorite breakfasts out there!

My go to every morning. Try to keep it to about 400 calories. Think it is about 45g protein, 20g carbs, 6 fats

1 cup - egg whites
1 full large egg
1 cup triple zero yogurt vanilla
1/4 cup - plain oats
handfule of blueberries in oats

I have noticed over the years that a quantity of carbohydrates at breakfast (around 50-60g from oat flakes) makes me feel hungry all morning until post-WO.
For this reason I opt for a breakfast without them
-250ml egg whites
-2 whole eggs
- 20g almonds

Simple and at the same time satisfying.

I keep it simple, out of laziness I admit and not much time in the morning.
- oat 40g (days off)
- oat 80g (days on)
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 egg whites
- vanilla soy milk

I work out early 515am after a small first meal…and my last meal of the day is usually the highest calories and highest fats and carbs meal that way I’m pre loaded for the following morning.

(45-60min pre)
-1 scoop whey iso
-1 banana
- 1 bobo bar or 1 pack instant oats
- 10g coconut oil (helps keep some of those carbs hanging on a little longer during the workout since we are training first thing usually wouldn’t do fats pre meal)

Pre shake (20min pre)
-25g cluster dextrin
-30g Gatorade powder
-pump product/pre workout Supps

Immediately post workout ( my real
Breakfast)
- 2 scoops whey iso
- 80g cream of rice
-75g blueberries
-10g fat from almond butter or olive oil

What happened to the yolks, that is the best part of an egg. I would cut down on the carbs for breakfast and increase the fats unless you are working out in the morning.

Agreed, also the yolks and the whites have different nutrients and work together to make the whole egg more bio available. I don't see the point in eating whites alone.

Oh you are 100% right about that lol the yolks are fire. Thanks for the input, I guess I figured with the avocado that I didn't need anymore fats. But since I do lift in the afternoons/evenings the 90% of the time that would make sense. I'll adjust the meal. What do you think about the macros - 70 protein, 80 carbs, 48 fats? Its the same calories (1,025) but different macro distribution.

Way to many carbs for me. When I am serously on a cycle first meal of the day is basically zero carbs. When off cycle and just cruising along I'll eat more carbs but my physique suffers a bit because of that also.
