Fasted vs Post Workout Cardio
Hey gang,
With spring right around the corner I am about to start my cut to be ready for summer. I have about a 12-14 week cut planned out and looking to drop 15-20lbs. Recently, as I have been in my “health phase” I have been doing cardio post workout and about 100 minutes total per week. (Breaks down to 20 min post workout - 5 days/wk). My new regimen I have planned is to do 140min cardio per week (20 min/day, 7 days/wk) and I was thinking I would do it in a fasted state, followed by 2-3 core exercises. While sipping BCAAs.
The question is when I start my cut, is it more optimal to do it in a fasted state or post workout? Does it really matter? Of course the primary goal is fat loss and muscle retention. I’ll be running about 400mg of AAS total throughout the cut.
What has seemed to be most effective for you guys?
Btw, cardio for me equals 140-160bpm for the duration of the time. Recently I have been enjoying the elliptical.

I do cardio fasted and post workout. Been doing it that way for probably close to 20 years and it keeps me lean year round and I don’t count calories or watch what I eat. Just coffee before I hit the gym in morning
sele137I personally like to do cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. If the goal is to preserve the muscles after training, I like to immediately give the muscles what they need. And personally, I take TABOO before training (yes, also on the cut) and cardio after training does not fit there
Considering the killer cardio (short and intense) that you do, you could get away with cardio training after training if you have no other option.
