Metformin and green tea

ad

I'm trying to cut body fat before I start my first cycle (approximately 16-18% bf now) and I just happened to have a large quantity of unused metformin on hand, approximately 150 500mg tablets. So far I've been taking 2 a day, and was curious if I should bump up the dosage. I'm trying to hit 12% bf by early-mid April. I'm soon to be 54 y/o, 6'1" and right at 220 I've dropped my carbs to less than 100g a day and hover around 2000 calories a day. I'm currently on a TRT dose of 120/week of test cyp 250. Also, I'm caffeine sensitive so I'm not big on stimulant fat burners, but have been drinking 3 cups of green tea a day for the past week. Anyone had success with that, is green tea worth it, as far as fat burning? I've read mixed results when googling, would like some personal experience feedback. Thanks!

Green tea is great for its antioxidant benefits but don't expect it to peel off a ton of fat on its own Lol Skip the metformin. No need and potential impacts on IGF are not worth the risk. This is all you need to do:

So much mixed reviews out there on Metformin, hard to separate out the static. Lots of people swear by it, others not so much. Depending on which forum you visit, it's one of the top supplements.
As far as carbs goes, I literally am only eating a banana in the morning with my protein shake and then sometimes steel cut oats. The other carb source is 2-4 slices of whole wheat bread. That's it. So you're saying just vegetables? I mean I love asparagus and kale, so that suggestion is not disagreeable with me, if even basic grains should be a no-no.

The more starchy carbs you can cut out of your diet the better. I would try to limit your starchy carbs like bread/oats to under 50g/d. Veggies as much as you want.

You should be having zero starchy carbs in the morning. Your body is in fat burning mode in the morning due to lack of eating carbs overnight so continue with that fat burning mode as long as possible. Protein and fats only for breakfast. Great time for ham and cheese omlet. Skip the toast and oats. When you do have starchy carbs iimit them to peri-workout if need be.

I really didn't think to ask at the time, but I'm overwhelmed with the amount of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, asparagus, etc. Would beans be suitable as a source of carbs?

green beans yes, brown beans no.
