Why would someone choose generic over human grade?

ad

So as the title states; why would someone choose generic over human grade?

I am by far no expert on hgh matters but I've been doing lots of research lately and this is a question I'm curious to know the answer to...

Now aside from the obvious reasons human grade would be a better choice (no potency issues, no/less sides, etc...), why would someone go generic? Generally, I hear people go generic due to human grade's price... but is it really more expensive???

From what I've seen, the general concensus is that 1 human grade iu is equivalent to 4 generic iu in potency. Now if this is the case, there isn't really a price difference here.
Assuming a 100iu kit of hygs is roughly $300 (give or take) that comes out to $3 per generic iu.
I have pharma serostims that were $1000 for a 126iu kit. I'm told that 1g is a reasonable price for serstims. This comes out to $7.94 per iu, per human grade iu. So if we consider the 4 to 1 ratio, that $7.94 now becomes equivalent to $1.99 per generic iu.
Now maybe my hook up to sero's are better than most could find... Well there is a source here (I can't say the name) that has norditropin pens for $240 ($210 if bought in bulk). I'm gonna go off $210 because if you're gonna dive into hgh, you should be stocking up ahead of time. These are 10mg pens, which are roughly 30iu. This breaks down to $7 per human grade iu; which in turn is about $1.75 per generic iu. So you can see, even without my serostim hook up, anyone can get human grade for a price just as cheap or cheaper than generic.

Now this was based off a hyg kit for $300. Some of you can probably get it cheaper than that but with costs so similar, does it really out weigh having to worry about how good your generics are testing at the time, more side effects, etc...?

I was under the assumption that human grade was going to be expensive but after doing some searching, it appears not so (that's why I switched).
Maybe someone can chime in on why they go with generics?

Hello BizWorks,
I have used both Pharm and Generic.
Pharm always blows Generic out of the water.
From Serostim which gives great gains but does nothing for getting shredded.
Its actually perscribed to HIV patience to maintain weight.
I am running Generic blue top now and i am just not getting the quick results I so eagerly look for.
My all time favorite hands down is Nutropin but my contact is away until further notice.
You say there is a source here (I can't say the name) that has norditropin pens for reasonable numbers.
Can you please share your information with me?

This would be greatly appreciated.

I live in Pennsylvanian, A medication I take cost $9.70 per 8mg pill. I take 2 per day and the cost is killing me as I pay cash. I asked my doctor about switching to generic, She told in the united state by law a generic pill only has to be 75% as effective as the pill it replaces. According to her and 8mg pill only has to be 5mg to pass FDA standards. I always though name brand just had a candy coating and so on. Not sure if that helps but unless the price difference is substantial, I would always choose the name brand. I can't imagine generic standards in other countries.

Lies. Bioequivalence laws are in place by the FDA in america for brand-generic drugs.

More like 99% the same.

I worked in the pharmaceutical industry. I take only generics. The only medications I have seen people have issues with is brand name armour-thyroid and synthroid/levothyroxine. Its more of a filler issue.

Also the reason your doctor wants you on brand is because he gets incentives for prescribing from the pharm company. you really thought he cared about you?

Agree - 4:! ratio on the main tested brands of Generic HGH wouldnt indicate such a poor comparison to Pharma to be honest

In terms of WHY ? Cost and Accessibility would be the key drivers I would suspect. In addition, comes the new blends that you can not get in a single product

In terms of potency and manuacture process - I only know of ONE source that is a fully qualified biochem and comes from a tier 1 pharmaceutical background and makes gear better then I would say the major pharms. So by that token - the rest you roll the dice with - hence why boards like this and reviews are key. In addition - the testing that people do and post up also provides an element of confidence.

I think it's difficult to say how many Ius of Chinese = how many Ius of pharma. My personal view is its not as high as 4:1.

It's all about cost. Not everyone can afford the sort of money I spend on norditropin, things like hyges and rips etc are more accessible, especially for the younger guys. 100ius of Chinese is what, $200. Probably 3x that price for pharma. Is it an artificial saving? Most likely in my eyes.

I see what you mean with accessibility; lots more carriers for generic than pharma.

As for the 4:1 ratio; this was just based off the average opinion others had.

They're not $190 with the majority of carriers but, even at $190, is the difference still considerable?

As for the hyges testing similar at a lesser dose, I find this hard to believe. And we know hyges aren't always testing high. Yes they do sometimes, and sometimes they test low. Such a gamble when going that route.

BizWorks's picture

I'm am US domestic, and I'd like to keep it that way. YES, I have done my research. AND, you plus three others do not hold the 'majority'.

And are you going to really try and say hyges have never tested low? Don't act like these have never had potency issues. Sometimes they test well, sometimes. What are they testing when they aren't testing well...?

Through all the articles I've read and people I've spoken to, you are the only one claiming that hyges are just as good as pharma grade and that they never test low.

Neither of us will see the other's point; I'm done arguing with you.

Haidee didn't say they were as good as pharma. I think what was meant was that you won't find bad blood tests on hyges. But no they arent as good
