TRT and longer cycles?

ad

Hey All,

I am currently in my first cycle (standard 12 week test cyp, 500mg per week).

I got pre-cycle bloods done and my total test was 280. I found an older blood test from 2008, and even back then I was only 440.

So I have decided that when I finish this cycle, I am going to go on TRT (I'm 37).

So now the question is; why not extend this first cycle to 20 weeks? Since PCT and HPTA recovery isn't an issue, is there any major drawback to running longer cycles? (Assuming I keep doing bloods every 4 weeks and make sure my cholesterol / BP / liver / etc are all doing fine.)

Thanks in advance!

I think getting bloodwork done every four weeks is not a bad idea, if you can afford it. It will also be a great way for you to fine-tune your TRT when you do decide to do it along with your AI dosages.

Supraphysiological levels of testosterone carry negative side effects. It is a good idea to give your body a break. If you are going to be on TRT. You can easily cycle for 12 weeks on and then 18 weeks off.

There are a few things you should do on TRT. You should do biweekly injections. You should utilize hCG. You should supplement with DHEA as well as Pregnenolone, it is not as simple as just taking testosterone.

And happy new year by the way.

Happy new year!

Yeah I am going to check out the various men's clinics and get under the care of a "doctor".

Although this is the first time I've heard of using pregnenolone. I'll have to read up on it!

It helps to backfill some of the hormonal pathways that get disrupted upstream from testosterone. All other hormones are made from Pregnenolone.

Your gna do bloods every 4 weeks? Thats alot of bloods and i dont think its that neccessary to do it that frequently

Yup, every 4 week. At $59 for the panel, it's cheap insurance. Especially since it's my first cycle.
