Prop to start trt

ad

So I've been diagnosed with low test.... Started self medicating as I was told an indefinite time for an endo appointment.
After self medicating at 200mg per week I soon began to feel amazing / like a normal person who could cope with being in a room with other people...... No more aches and pains and actualy enjoying life with my family.
Had my endo appointment who said I needed to be on a proper trt regemin, as in prescription test ( Nebido) and bloods every 6 months.
Now what happened was though, she took my blood again and I was well well over the top level of testosterone for any age...... So I was told to stop self medicating to let my levels drop to normal so they could start my treatment.
Now they suggested at least a months cessation which is coming up now. The problem is I'm starting to feel awful again.... Not as bad as I did but on my way.... As in nervous, achy and all the rest of it.
I'm going to get my bloods taken tomorrow and I'm expecting my test to be very low, and so expecting the Nebido next week.
Now my question is, I can't stand this feeling and I struggle with it so much.
Does anybody think it would be a problem for me to have some test prop for the first 2 weeks or so after the Nebido to rid myself of these symptoms sooner?
Any replies are much appreciated

Keep us posted, preferably as you start to feel the effects. I'm really curious as to how it works out for you! (and thanks for sharing your journey so far, as well.)

The nebido is gonna take a long time to kick in, i see no issue with using a low dose prop the first 4 or so weeks on the undec, and even after 4 weeks its still not gonna be fully built up but levels should be pretty decent. If there is a treatment out there that can cure your symptoms (prop), why deprive yourself of it. No reason to feel shitty any longer then you have to, that is unless your doc is gonna be doing bloods anytime during the first 6 weeks or so. If he is then no, but if you have atleast 6 weeks without any bloods running the prop in the beginning is fine.

This is my thoughts on it. I can't see it doing any harm in the long run. All I can think it's going to do is get a normal level of test into me over those first few weeks while the nebido is releasing enough to feel the benefits
Thank you for your reply

I personally would just let the nebido run its course.

Musclepants1's picture

What's your reasoning behind it? I'm sure you know very well the best course, just wondering why not alleviate the crappyness sooner?

Now you are likely going to have to add an AI or at least be cognizant of ai and it is just going to be more of a hassle trying to keep t levels stable as the nebido cleaves. Also if they are doing the nebido protocol of all 4ml at once, your t levels will climb fairly rapidly, similar to how people frontload other long esters to get the blood plasma levels to peak quicker.

Musclepants1's picture

Right.... I've gotcha, never thought of it in that way, as in the front loading effect, makes sense though and yes they are going to do the 4ml at one. I have AI on hand though if that is a main concern of the prop and test levels

Suck it up IMO. Only 2 weeks Nancy Boy.

Haha yeah I get ya pal.... 2 weeks is fuck all compared to 10 years. Just suck it up, your right

prop actually most closely mimics our natural test production, peaks and troughs daily with prop just like our natural test. Problem is the pinning like you said, eod, that would suck to have to do forever. I can barely stand it for 8 weeks.

Musclepants1's picture

It's not for my trt as a whole, it's to get some test flowing through me
While I'm waiting for the undecanoate

I say suck it up and deal with it. People deal with worse... you will be better before you know it

Never presume what somebody has been through. I know there is always somebody worse

When I first made the ultimate decision to take the plunge and start legit trt I was tempted to do the same thing and use prop to speed things up.

Don't do it though. I was glad I didn't.

I suggest doing it the right way and just force yourself to be patient. It tough to get correct reading and to balance your hormones if you just keep adding stuff in and changing up your protocol.

Musclepants1's picture

Don't take this as a "I am gonna take the prop no matter what anyone says"
I'm asking the question because I want to make an informed decision

Smart man. + 1 from me for going about it the right way!

Musclepants1's picture

Yeah i know prop makes me feel good realy quick but I wanna hear some concrete evidence why
I shouldn't help myself feel better, that's all. I feel pretty awful right now so I'm struggling with the idea of not taking the prop. But if someone can give me a clear reason why not to then I'll listen

Musclepants1's picture

I see what your saying, I still don't see how prop for the first week even would make any difference to my levels by the time I get checked again, other than help the way I feel now. Definatly not arguing, I'm taking on board what you say, I'm just desperate to feel like I did a few weeks ago.

trust me, I can totally relate and know exactly how you feel. You'll be glad you were patient, trust me.
