Just diagnosed low T

ad

I'm 36 YO and was just diagnosed with low T today. My t levels were at 155 (range 300-900). I have ran a few cycles in the past and never had my levels checked. I always made decent gains during cycles (test only and test and deca), but I could never keep them. My libido dropped through the floor a couple of years ago. It all makes sense now. Can I run a stacked cycle (dbol and prescribed test or dbol, deca prescribed test)? I'm asking because I was about to start the dbol, deca and test cycle. Or should I just let the TRT play out for a few months and see what it does? The doc wants to run bloods again in 3 months. Any advice is appriciated.

Ha! Got my check up blood work back today... I guess the doc knows what he's doing. A week and a day since my last shot and I came back at 565... I thought for sure I'd be low. He said that I could do the injections weekly though. Wants to see me back in 6 months. Just wanted to give an update.

@tipois, welcome to being a slave to the pin for the remainder of your days. It has it's benefits, and it certainly has it's drawbacks.

In the end, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. If you feel good, don't go messing with your dosages or injection times.

Also, understand that you'll most likely need to start donating blood every three or four months, maybe more often if your body produces more red blood cells than needed. I've discovered that I need to donate every ten weeks to feel optimum, and I'm only on 100mg test cyp once a week. If I upped that dosage, I simply assume I'd have to up my donation schedule too.

Another thing to consider is, don't be afraid to get your own blood work done through one of the labs that the lads talk about on this site. It's WAY cheaper than getting blood work done through your doctor, and you'll have that much more data to consider. I have blood work now from two days after a pin, as well as a week after a pin, just to see how drastic the "spike & crash" is on my body. (I'm 900 a few days after a pin and 550 after a week, and I feel SO MUCH BETTER than I did a year ago.)

I admit, being stuck full of needles SUCKS (ie-pinning, blood tests as well as donating) but I choose it gladly, compared to the lethargy I had before I started my own TRT.

Get us an update at some point, please! Rooting for you.

It is going ok so far. I can definitely tell a difference at the end of the two week cycle. I basically feel like crap at the end of the two weeks. About two days after my shot, I feel great. Then it starts to tail off. I'm going in for blood tests next month and I'm going to see if we can change up the frequency and the dosage, there is no way I'm still in the normal range by the end of the two weeks. I'll follow up next month after I get the test results back.

These fellas have you dialed in on the right path. Get "stable" first. That takes time, at least six months or more. Plus, even on low dose TRT (like 100mg test cyp per week) you can make INCREDIBLE gains if you know how to eat right and lift hard. Seriously. Guys think "more is better" when it comes to test. There is a point of diminishing returns for blasting, no doubt, but you can always sharpen up and lean out if you know how to lift right.

Don't fret too much. Hang out here with an open mind, learn from men who are willing to share their mistakes with you (cuz we've all made our share) and don't make the same ones. Take your time. You'll be glad you did.

Just do the TRT for now, get a baseline, doing a cycle now will only screw with your bloods.

As you do TRT your natural testosterone production will drop off. Your Dr should compensate by increasing your dose.(hopefully)

I would say wait at least 6 months with a year being better.

Good luck bro with starting TRT. I'd bet you will start seeing gains when just starting your standard TRT dose. +1 on trying to get weekly injections. Biweekly might be nice too.

Good job being honest here about not getting your bloods checked. Having a doctor more involved with your gear, and making your do bloods will probably force that bad habit to go away.

I appriciate the advice. Doing the common sense thing is always better and half the fun. I'll hold off a bit on blasting until we get my levesl sorted out. My doc has me on test cyp 200 once every two weeks. From what I have read on the subject, I should talk to him about doing 100/wk instead to stabilize my levels. This seems like the average starter dose. Have any of you guys had levels around 150, if so what is your dosage and how often? It seems like my doc is trying to only get me to the lower side of normal with, what seems like a low dose to me.

Definitely talk to your doc about weekly or bi-weekly injections. Don't get hung up on the numbers. If you feel good on your prescribed dose who gives a fuck what your test level is. And don't go fooling with any other steroids until you get everything dialed in 100% with the doc and you know your bloodwork schedule.

@waterhead235, I'm commenting on this reply over two months after you posted it, but somehow I missed your words. Dude, GREAT ADVICE.

"Don't go fooling around with any other steroid until you get dialed in 100%."

So many impatient boys think, "I'm on TRT now, so I can do anything I want!" Nope. All you're doing is fucking up your endocrine system even further.

There's a reason why I preach "Slow & Steady." CUZ IT WORKS!!! It works out for decades, not just a few years.

No.
You need to stabilize on your trt, before you even think of "blasting". I would give it a solid year, verified with several blood tests before you consider anything.
I've been in trt for many years now and I haven't blasted in several years. I enjoy working hard and seeing solid gains from my trt dose.
It's also much healthier this way. Good luck.

It's time to walk the straight and narrow, bro! Stick with your doctors decisions, and begin your research on TRT and what to expect. Glad you're here. Smile

Like x said, don't fuck with anything now. You need to get dialed in on trt with the doc so don't chance anything.

If you start a cycle now it will show up on your blood test and doctors don't like abuse of medicine. I think you should go with the common sense approach for a few months.
