Is it time for TRT?

ad

Hello all,
Backround: 40 yrs old and have done 3 cycles with the standard PCT.
Just got my blood work back and my test levels came back at 204 everything else looked fine. Finished my 3rd cycle PCT about 4 weeks beforehand. Even before my first cycle, at the age of 38, was at the low end but the 204 surprised me.
Question: should I start TRT? and if so, now or wait until the end of my next cycle?

Thanks

Thank you all for your responses. I will retest in 3 weeks time and if the test is still below 550 ng/ml will begin to cruise then.

If your total testosterone is less than 550 ng/ml and you have fully recovered from a cycle, then not doing HRT increases your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes.

With a few exceptions, all men should be on HRT if levels are below 550. So, if you were less than this at 38, then its time. Just realize that the therapy is for life.

Time on + pct = time off ... The time to take to fully recover is that.. Sometimes after ur done using clomid , ur testosterone declines because ur body was relying on clomid or pct for help. So it takes some time for u to bounce off and recover completely .. Now I'm no where near ur age , and I don't know how it is at 40 but its ur call , if u feel that ur have always been low due to ur age then go for it , but I say u wait

Do you have access to a private lab. i.e., anylabnow, etc. That is the only one in our area is why I listed it. Find a lab or online lab that doesn't require a doctors order for labs and just pay for a test yourself. They are generally pretty inexpensive and you will know exactly where you are. If it is a little high wait for a bit, if it is already low again take that report to your doc and get him to start the process of getting you on trt. You don't have to guess at the numbers with all of these options for getting blood tests now.

Hey when was your last cycle?

Finished PCT 4 weeks ago

Did you get bloods done precycle? And what were they?

Pct wasnt that long ago, your body and natural testosterone is still recovering and your body wont fully recover until a few months ahead

But i hear you man, 204 is very low and if you went to a doc under different circumstances, they would definitely prescribe TRT. But since at this point they would see juice in your blood i don't think they would.

Agreed.. Wait just a little longer and retest. $50 well spent.

Unless you told them you were coming off a cycle they wouldn't know. They wouldn't see any "juice in your blood" , the tests they are running aren't that sophisticated, just looking at hormone levels.

You serious? Thats great, im thinking i would be eligible for trt when i come off this cycle but i thought i would have to wait 3months until its out of my system.

Yes. Just make sure it's out and you don't test out at like over 1000!

Check around on optimal timing... I'm no expert.. But think long esters would be about 4 weeks to be safe and nice and low. Maybe 5.

One thought... Wait about 3-4 weeks and test again as levels do change.

How do you feel? That's a driver as well.

Sounds like you're thinking of going that route regardless. Don't see any reason to wait till after your next cycle if that's the case. Just my 2 cents.

Feel unmotivated and have low libido.
Will test again before I go ahead, but what should be a cut of test level?
