Help Getting Back in Shape

ad

Hello. Great site! I've been reading alot of post the last couple weeks and well, Iam inspired to get back into shape. Iam 40 yrs. old and maybe suffering from low testosterone, however, a simple blood test and I will know for sure. I did a couple cycles about 6 yrs. ago but haven't worked out in the past 5yrs. My plan is to get back working out on a regular basis and to start eating clean again.
Now, when i decide to start another cycle: what would you recommend?

Your in good hands here, hrdbdygrrrrrrl and Tread have given me good advice. I'm 50 and started trying to get back in shape in Feb., quit drinking, started with just walking, then the bowflex that was in the corner for years, now mini gym in my screen room (it gets addictive). So far I've lost 25 or so pounds and have better strength. Working on my HRT/TRT now, have to find the right doctor! Anyway if you want to do it you can find the right information here.

Your welcome, glad to see you back. How is it going for you so far? Get started exercising yet?

oh yeah, been dieting for at least 4 weeks with a cheat day about once a week and been doing high and low intensity cardio and weight training 3x a week. I've lost around 12lbs. so far.

If you haven't been lifting in 5 years something like a Hormone replacement cycle would be safest to get your tendons used to the weight and strength increases you will gain from the cycle. No point in injuring yourself. That is my thought anyways! Good luck, would feel good to get back on track. I felt like hell when i stopped for 4 months can't imagine 5 years. Cheers.

*Edit - Apologies, just realized this was in the TRT part of the forum. Hopefully my statement was somewhat relevant.

I haven't figure out my body fat in awhile, so I am not sure but it has to be what you all would consider kinda high. I have some belly fat, but my main goal is to gain strength and maybe add a little muscle in the process. Then, depending on my blood test results either do pct or trt.

yeah, it's all good.

To sgtstedanko: I've read your post the other day and again just now. Iam not trying to become Mr. Universe...lol Are you a drill sergeant? Man, I almost forgot how hard it is to build muscle. However, I am more interested in feeling better and looking better than packing on alot of muscle. So, my question for you: should I follow your advice or would you recommend something else in order for me to reach my goal?
