Blood Work

ad

I recently got my blood work back and met with my doctor. I was on HCG monotherapy for 3 months and it brought my test level from 350 to 700, and free test from 59 to 100. It also brought my E2 level from 25 to 125 doing 4,500 iu a week.

The last 4 weeks I was on 120mg test cy a week. My test level was 712, and free test 145.
My doctor seemed to think this was fine. My e2 level was 21 on .5 mg twice a week of adex.

My doctor was concerned that my HDL had dropped from a 33 level before anything, to 30 on HCG monotherapy, and to 25 on the test.

He is more comfortable with the HCG with Adex, then with the test. He agreed to keep me on the test and add 500iu of hcg twice a week and retest in 12 weeks.

My question is the declining HDL that bad, even though my LDL is 73.
Also, is a test level of 712 and free test level of 145 that good?
I am 43 years old and looking to TRT to feel better and help transform my body.
Thanks!

Before I can answer any of your questions you need to post the ranges for your particular tests.

As far as what happened to your HDL and LDL happens to many TRT patients. My suggestion would be to supplement with fish oil and other essential fatty acids. Remember cholesterol on its own is not dangerous it's when you have inflammation in the body that it becomes a problem. Luckily for you testosterone injections lower inflammation in the body tremendously, so that in itself will have a protective effect. But if you can increase your HDL it definitely won't hurt you to do so.

Also if you do biweekly injections your numbers should improve and your free testosterone levels should go up even higher.
