+ 6 Blood Pressure and Big Guns

ad

I wanted to post this and maybe save someone a trip to the Doctor and some money. I have been taking my BP at home for the last two months. Off cycle I run 130/80 a little high but ok now on cycle for the last two months I have been running anywhere from lowest 140/87 to high 157/97. So after trying a few different over the counter meds I decided it was time to go to the Doctor and see what the hell. I'm running 750mg Test E and 600mg Deca so I figured either get on BP meds or get off cycle. Anyway BP at the Doc was 134/84 which shocked the shit out of me, that is not bad considering. They did a EKG everything was fine, long story short $240.00 later they ask me about the size of the cup on my BP machine at home I pointed to the smaller one on the wall the nurse tried to put it on my arm and showed me where and how the cup has to fit and that it was to small which is why of coarse my BP was ok with the large cuff she used. I felt like a idiot i'm getting false readings at home cause the cuff is to small it worked perfect for Mamma so I thought it was good to go, it was given to us by her Granny. Well BP is nothing to play with I was super relieved and glad I went to the Doc worth every penny for the peace of mind and understanding. So brothers make sure the cuff is the right size for your GUNS we aren't average the world thinks 17'' Guns are huge and a lot of home machines don't go over that. BE safe and smart watch that BP and Lift, lift, lift.

Sincerely, Pres

I get this too, and my arms aren't that big. My readings at home are 130 ish over 80 ish, at at the docs it a lot lower.

I've seen it also, different machines and cuffs give different readings.
Dad's machine at home seems to have the correct size cuff, yet gives me too high readings,I do not know why,it works perfectly for him.

The machines at the doc's and dentists give normal range readings.
A bit of a mystery,it seems to be more than just cuff size?

+1 for sharing. I get consistent readings at home...in line with what you mention on/off cycle but also wondered if the cuff was the right size, or if it was in calibration. I may shop for another, and see if they offer different sizes.

Now, the bf measuring scale in the bathroom...that's a whole other story...
