About to start TRT... question

Hey guys.
I used , more like abused AAS from 28-33 years old. I came off everything after a bad injury and surgery 5 years ago. I did a long PCT of clomid/nolva , and felt like I recovered well. My test was 500 about a year after having all Substances out of my system.
About 6 months ago, I started feeling all the symptoms of low T: general fatigue, low low libido, terrible recovery after workouts.
My diet is good, training is okay for low T, sleep is decent and h20 intake is proper.
Got tested and my T was 244. Found a great doc that is covered by my insurance. He ran extensive labs and wants to treat me.... thankfully!!!
We had a few FaceTime meetings but he needs to have an in person exam before prescribing anything. The problem with covid is that I can’t get in to see him for another month. The labs are in already, everything except test and free test looks good.
Also I’m on 5mg lisinopril for BP.
I’m really tempted to run some prop at low (100-150mg/wk) dose to start feeling better ASAP . Looking for advice to either wait or not.... I’m just being impatient, but I’ve been feeling the low T symptoms pretty bad for the past 6 months and it’s hard to keep “toughen’ it out”

Id recommend waiting as you run the risk of having to find another provider, plus after they start you on TRT they will want to recheck labs and you dont want to skew the results. Youve waited this long, might as well tough it out a lil longer. Horny goat weed works well for libido issues (doesn’t really affect test levels though)
I just signed back on today. It’s been a few years since I’ve been here but I do have a little bit of experience! I’ll just say this Propinate is a no go. That’s a daily use item and not a TRT substance. If you absolutely had to stick something in you. I’d go with 50mg of Eth or Cyp per week till you see the Doc....
THANKS FOR THE ADVICE GUYS!!!!!!!!!
***update & advice ****
I did wait and luckily got in to see the doc sooner due to a cancellation!
He’s got me on 120mg /wk of cypionate to start, which I’m super happy about the approach of starting low and seeing if we can get me feeling good on as little as possible. $15 copay, so that’s great .
He’s not got me on an AI, and I do have some gyno that showed up about 6 mo ago when I started getting hit with the low T. He referred me to a surgeon and doesn’t seem to want to try and shrink/reverse with meds.
The gyno is somewhat painful, and unsightly.
Don’t really want to have that massive surgery, Also not sure if the insurance would cover.
I am trying to be healthy here, and am hesitant to try and self treat with either nolva or raloxifene. I did ask the doc about it and he wasn’t in to it.
Have bloods in February.
What would you all do ?
Look through the recent posts, this topic has come up twice in the last couple days. One is nolvadex and the other is vitamin b6. Are you sure its gyno ? Hows your body fat/diet?
There is a sense of urgency with you again. You can't expect all these problems to be corrected overnight with a magic pill. Give the trt some time to work, monitor your E2 levels, exercise hard, get your diet online, ask the surgeon/dr for his recommendations and possible non surgical options.
If your serious about trt than a few more weeks tell you can get this figured out should be fine
5mg is a really low dose of lisinopril so your BP must not be to bad your symptoms of low t might be part of the higher BP and trt might get you off of lisinopril anyways just wait till you can get in to see your doc call the office and tell them if anyone cancels to call you and you will come in right away
AnonThat's a good catch. BP meds end me, some days...the effects of low BP (lower than your body prefers, at least) are similar to those of low T.
I'd follow the lads advice on here. One shot of prop will likely lead to another until you meet the doctor. My advice is to stay off if at all possible. I've been to two endos in the last 2 years after getting TRT from a clinic. Both of them wouldn't touch me until i came off everything and then tested 6 weeks later. I stayed on 125-160mg week test until this year. I ran HCG 250-500 MWF and 25 mg of clomid for 6 months. Go in on monday to draw and check values 2.5 months after cessation of everything. Feel pretty decent but no where as good as even 125mg/week. If im lucky i'll be in the 400-600 range. Best of luck and keep us posted
AnonYou SHOULD wait...
I have a feeling you may have a steroid relapse anyways lol as soon as you feel better, you'll want to feel BETTER! just hang tight, it's a month not 6 more months.
If you start hitting prop it'll probably feel worse when he puts you on cyp. Prop feels way better.. It's fun.
Going from prop to cyp will be a bummer if you have clinically low T to start. I went from low T to a 500mg cyp cycle and it was euphoric, if it had been prop it would have been even better, but then you have 2 swings, low t shit feeling to euphoria, then euphoria to way less but still better than before.
Just waiting will take you from the current shit feeling to feeling waaaay better in a steady state with only the one swing.
Also, like you said, your just being impatient.
Molinin302Every time I see your name I want a steak. Personally I prefer Ribeye, but there's nothing wrong with a nice T-bone or Porterhouse.
Ribeye all the way I might have to run to the store and grab me one
AnonYes please!!
no need to rush as everyone else is saying. you followed the right steps, got the bloods, went to a doc, etc. dont have all the right tools and use em wrong
Molinin302I'm editing my comment to do us both a favor. Get yourself together guy. If it was any other medication you wouldn't be itchy to jump the gun. There's options, options on here. Get your hands on some Viagra or Cialis. It works, excellent providers here to procure it. Then when you get settled go from there, but for the time being, get your script from a physician. Best wishes bro.
I liked your first post better, very well written. Even liked the well placed curse word and no instapots!
Molinin302Yeah, me too. But not every post needs the harshness. The op knows what he's doing and he knows its not right. But it was a polite question. This is a friendly site, we offer advice, he should wait for the physician. Bro... thats the best advice. He's already approved. Cucumber............
Just wait, cause you really dont know what kind of protocol he will give you(ai or not, hcg, dosage, and pins per week). It takes cypionate roughly 4 weeks to hit steady state and another 4 weeks to feel stable. If you start early your shit and numbers will be skewed to when he will want to do blood work. Be patient and do it the right way.
Blood work to back up symptoms and a Doc prepared to treat you. Stats ok. Good attitude. All looking great until it fell apart at the end. You mentioned abusing aas in the past (no judgment, mistakes happen) but clearly haven’t learned your lesson as you want to jump on some prop for a quick hit. Nonsense. Listen to your Doc and Do your homework.
