With or w/o a gym partner ?
ad
I usually felt that having a co-worker at the gym during workout motivates me, it is kind of slight competition, keeps me moving, but lately I am feeling that alone I feel more focused. What's your routine ?

I hit it solo. No distractions and I hate turning off my iPod. I go when I know there won't be many people there. Waiting in line to workout is counter productive. If sharing is really caring then I'm a piece if shit lol
A better partner helps you push your limits
Z499depends on my lifts, bench and squat yes, anything else no
i like both, there are benefits to both, when im alone i dont have to wait on someone, I can get through it quicker and push myself a little harder on compound and super sets, with a partner i do push the heavier weight harder, i feel more comfortable with a spotter and a bit more competitive
sorry repeat
AnonBeen training for years, solo. It has its advantages and disadvantages....
I've had a few different partners in the last 12 years I been working out... My best workout partner has been my ipod... It's never late or lacking focus.
very true
I like to train solo, no bs, no waiting for people to show up, get in, get it done, gtfo!
SwoleOnDbolMy mate and I lift basically the same weights for everything, (give or take a few).
It's a good motivational tool, and I get competitive! Helps you push out that last rep when you think you've got nothing left in the tank.
Alone but the exception is if the person I go with is serious about lifting. Don't need anyone who is going to just ride a bike. Run. And curl all damn day fuck that.
I like both! Love having a partner/spotter on heavy days, but i love the focus i get by myself, zone out and go wild
AnonI've always worked out by myself and not until recently have I started to have a couple of partners. I think that I'm having better workouts with a partner cause I have someone to help me get those extra reps and I feel a little safer going heavy.
I feel like for some reason the odds of injury are lower if u workout by urself , unless its Bench day
AnonI like both !
I like training alone, it could be because the ppl that I COULD go to the gym with like to talk about other shit and not Lifting, BUT when I train alone I am not able to go as heavy as I would like. Another reason i dont like training with a partner is because It takes double the time to finsish the training session (I go then him then Me then him etc.) Pros and Cons on both I guess.
The time factor kills me too hate that shit I hate being with someone who is a lot weaker or stronger than me either remove plates or add plates blah blah blah
AquaManI know, talking wastes time a lot ! Thanks.
