Sergio Oliva, Coleman, and of course like every other guy who grew up in the 80's, Arnold
i dunno about Bodybuilding champ, but growing up in the 90s watching WWF, seeing all those guys jacked, I looked up to them and wanted to big like that some day.
Broc0sFranco is in my top list
his evolution is remarcable
Luie ferrig..........Franco was a beast also does anyone know he was also a doctor?
V-Power-AArnold again and again
The ultimate warrior!!....actually was a BB before he became wrestler lol
ThunderLightFranco is my icon.
scootertrampI hear that! HUGE, thick, and balanced.
GoldPowerHGP is the shit !
short guys.. Ted Arcidi for one.
GoldPoweryou are so damn right... forgot it
performanceform...Holy shit havent heard that name in ages. Very cool B52 !
4EVER-POWERthe 70-80 classics
Hmm...IKNOW a lot of people are gunna jump down my throat for this but this is MY opinion. Most bodybuilders have affected my decisions, in the sense that Iam careful NOT to go too far and end uphaving that type of physique. The bigger you are the more people wanna test you and fuck with you (I've learned), and being super jacked is actually a huge disadvantage in a fight. More muscle needs more oxygen. And "fatigue will make cowards of us all"
AnonHow often you get into street fights bro? Lol
Well...not TOO often. But even with my friends. Like everyone always looks at the big guy and the first thought is along the lines of fighting and usually people are like "damn man I wouldn't want to piss you off" and when alcohol is involved and someones feeling tough I've found that I'm usually pulled into some type of physical combative incident. Lol. But the point is....being like SUPER huge....it doesn't help you in that department and that's immediatly what people think, Ibet this guy would whoop some ass...but in reality, ur in worse shape to fight then someone whose just "fit". Those muscles are like oxygen guzzlers. Its like bring a hummer to a street race, yea lots of power but ur sacrificing so much for one strength. I am more motivated by balance in strengths. Not knocking anyones choices....just throwing that out there
There are weight classes in the fight game for a reason. I spent 20 years in a boxing gym and every time I stepped in there to spar with a bigger guy, I had all kinds of trouble. Just because they were bigger didn't mean they weren't as well conditioned as I was. Would you put Mike Tyson in there with Floyd Mayweather? Didn't think so. You have the right idea but your argument is flawed and the idea that you need to be ready to rumble at any time tells me something happened that made you think this way. There is no such thing as tough. There is trained and untrained. But put a bigger guy in there that has the same training as you, i'm all in on him for the knock out
With that said i'll tell you I agree to a certain degree. I don't want too much mass. 210-220lbs at my height (5' 10") and 8% bf (my current measurement) is my goal and that is what i'll maintain when I reach it. And nobody thinks you're wrong for not wanting the bodybuilder look. Lots of different kinds of people here. This isn't a bodybuilding site.
AnonI respect your opinion and I do understand where your coming from. Personally, my goal is to earn my pro card. Never once has fighting crossed my mind. I havent been in a street fight since 1998 (I was in 10th grade) so that isnt something I honestly think of.
CleyonI agree, I wouldn't want to be nearly as big as the new pros, but that's why I love the old school body builders.
CleyonI'm sticking with the classics. Arnold!
However I'm also a fan of Franco, Lou, and the other big dogs of that day.
performanceform...Franco was amazing. he was insanely strong as well, and ultra intelligent to boot !
For the Women...my inspiration is Danna Linn Bailey...she's kinda cute too. Top fave though would be the alll mighty Isis... and wonder woman!
Julianna Malacarne>DLB
but my fave female is zoa linsey she's actually one of the nicest people as well, she called me at like 11 one day just to help one of my friends out. Not many pros will do that..
CleyonDLB is smoking hot, but my favorite pro is Sarah Hayes, but that's just because she's the local girl, and sweat as they come.
tread-mI prefer Oh mighty HPG but whateva's
She looks too much like a blow fish at times tho...really?! U pic her?!
tread-mNot even a second thought! That gurl brangin the spoopin to the game! Straight up Gazebo Material IMHO..
Daayyuum... there is that damn gazebo again..not one of dem from walmart is it? Im sure the hibber neckers be gettin their swivil on up in thurrr!
tread-mLmao...nope, one of those big ones with the wicker furniture and a cork board. Then of course I have to go "coy" in the surroundings. Oh Mighty HPG loves that sorta thing trust me, I know her personally. Isis...pffft, I'd throw rocks at her when HPG rolls up!
Sounds like HPG is the shit! I'd love to get a pair of her under-roos. If/when ya see her give her a biiiiiiiigg hug and tell her i Loooove heeerr and she is better than any sister EVER tell her she is now my sister!
Wonder Woman, now you're talking. Still got a thing for that costume from my youth.
Anyone know where I can buy a Wonder Woman costume for the mrs lol?
Under ROOS!!! Had em...don't think they would fit anymore and if i could find them that would be the CATS ASS!!
phil113kgFor me it's a toss up between Kevin Levrone and Flex Wheeler. Broad shoulders that tapper down to a small waist and tree trunks for legs. Symmetry, balance, and a great presence on stage makes my top list.
Flexxxx!!! Love that look.
4EVER-POWERronnie coleman
Columbo, Lee labrada,, Shawn Ray. Columbo n labrada...short powerhouses. Back when tall guys couldnt hold their own. Shawn...fully balanced class act.
AnonShawn Ray is my motivation. The guy had to battle in open class and he didnt win a show after 1991 but still was a great bodybuilder. His determination and honesty was something to admire.
StevebColumbo
Arnold for sure. But for today's body builders Kai Greene is my favorite. Not only is he great but he is extremely smart and down to earth.
None today , I look more to the old school body builders, I look at people like Sergio and Arnold. but if i had to pick one it would be dennis wolf and branch warren
